If you can only get one, I would get Kirk. He has better visual tasks like fighting the Gorn and sound bites. Uhura's visual tasks are meaningless to anyone who doesn't remember the episodes they came from. Without the context her fan dance and communication boogie tasks are just meh. Plus her voice work is severely lacking. She sounds every bit of her 82 years of age, saying such wonderful lines like "would you look at that" and "are you gentlemen all right". I imagine her convo with TinyCo consisted of them giving her lines to record and her refusing most of them either because she found the humor distasteful or objected to it because she felt it would tarnish Uhura's image. For real. I can't believe how bad Uhura sounds. The voice really ruins it. They would've been better off just using her voice clips from the show or movies. |

Well I received a response from TinyCo regarding the lack of dark green cubes from defeating the Borg cube. After a bit of back and forth the end result is that they're an extremely rare drop because the Borg cube wasn't originally intended to drop them, but they did acknowledge that the sudden release of the new content "may have been a surprise to people" they were just "excited" to release it.

How would you have those characters they haven't been released Oh you had to buy 5x$99 clam packages and tinyco lets you get all the characters for only 4x$99 clam packages. Given the road TinyCo is going down, all I can say is don't give them any ideas.  |

Unlocked Kirk late last night. Had to sped up a task for 16 clams or Bertrum would have reset (was at 2 HP). Doubt I'll be able to clear him today to get Uhura. But I guess I'll see how far to go. Started the mystery box and got most of the prizes. Just missing the Red Shirt and the Yellow Tribble. Have 4 brown and 2 beige. Was not expecting to have more than 1. Left myself with about 5k in case before draining it out. Want to construct the Bronze statue and Tribble (maybe-is it the same one in the mystery box?). Won't have enough for Silver or Gold  . If I were to magically defeat him before the takedown, I could get the last character. Was debating speeding up some of the tasks, but I don't think I want to spend the clams. Still has over 30 HP with like 8 hours to go (max of 20, low of 12). |

Event is over, unstickied the thread. Basically got just about all the free content. Missed out on the Red shirt (darn mystery box kept giving me Brown tribbles!), silver statue and gold statue (too much Dark Matter) along with that final free character, Uhura. Had this content launched when the event was extended, I would have changed up the strategy to try to get more Dark matter instead of scrambling to finish the quest lines and let him reset.
Oh well. Hopefully they let the dust settle for a week or more, tired of these back-to-back-to-back-to-back grind sessions.

That was part of my back and forth with the kid from support. Once the event was "over" from a player perspective there was no need to keep grinding for dark matter, green cubes or whatever else you needed. So when they suddenly announced more content it put everyone behind the 8 ball again. I had to ratchet up the passive aggressive to a little more aggressive when I pointed out that he and I both knew they intended to add that content all along and that his logic was incredibly faulty.

With all the rooms and other crap I just ended up nuking my town again, now all I got is a few buildings and people leveling up.

Too much work rebuilding it from scratch. I'd probably just end up walking away from the game if I do that.  I have a neighbor who nuked their town on a weekly basis especially after every event. I just tend to move stuff around instead; I just need more land.  |

You and everybody else, in one year we got 1/10 the land of TSTO (3 1/2 years) and about half the content (albeit 50-75% is just event garbage). If this money pit keeps going with the same old tired re-skined event mechanics and nothing new, the rest of the people will stop playing. I don't know how the other forums are but if they're like this one I see it going down in flames. |

Maybe my math is off, but if she was 265 during the event and she's 265 now that doesn't seem like much of a discount. When I logged in, there was a "special" price to get Spock before he's "gone forever" at a low "discount price" of 265 clams. Which I thought that was his asking price. Edit: had this been a promo package to get all 7 premium characters for 265 clams, then I would have gotten it. 265 clams is too much for a single character, especially one that is 100% unless from this point forward. |
