Has anyone got the Herbert skin yet or know when it's gonna be available? He's been available for awhile now, you have to get him on an away mission 3 or 4 planet. Might take awhile or you might get lucky fast, try putting all available people it might increase your chances. |

Or if you are named Carter, then once every 12 times. Seriously I only hit it once a day for 500, and even hitting clams a few times too. Probably won't get enough crystals for Joe, which is a shame. At 5500 or so now, and seems like Picard will be a last minute get. I'm on the final form now, but already knew he is impossible with 3 characters. Was surprised to beat the fourth form with 3. Lucky I guess. Helped that my baby woke me up about 5 hours after last setting them, so a simple login allowed a complete 20-22 hour coverage to defeat him. So he'll reset today and will go at it tomorrow. Crystals are way too hard to get on short notice. Turns out I had to get that Forever Garden for the quest line, so lost 1k in crystals there. After I see where I'm at on crystals come Wednesday, may just buy the final 2 buildings intead of Joe. Still need tons of Dark Matter and with Consuela's 18 hour task, will be just getting like 1 day. That sucks about the planet. In my opinion captain pike Joe isn't worth it. He has 1 visual task which is him rocking back and forth with blinking lights for 2 hours. That's it. I won't ever use that skin again. Well lady luck has now blessed me with 1000 this morning from that away mission. So now Picard is now unlocked. Just wasted 5 clams since I thought it was a costume for Patrick Stewart. sigh. Since it sounds like Joe is pointless, I guess I will just get the 2 buildings next. May still try to shoot for Herbert's skin, but probably unlikely to get it. Will need 78 dark matter for all 3. Assuming I beat level 2, level 3 and level 4 of Bertrum, I'd have like 73 or 74. So I don't think I can hit 6k in crystals either. So it will be a race to the finish line. Sigh. |

Things I liked: The Enterprise (separate area to play in) Worf (by far my favorite character in this event; his visual tasks are awesome!) Riker (his sound bites are hilarious!) Q (because, well he's Q) Captain Picard/Locutus (although it would've made more sense to unlock Picard first, then have the Borg assimilate him; plus the character/skin collection screen wouldn't be messed up) Geordi Beverly Crusher (visual tasks are ok, sound bites are awesome!) Khaaannnnn!!!!!! Things I disliked: THE GRIND Changing things constantly at the last minute Too many quests (mostly unfunny and time consuming) Too many materials to acquire Deanna Troi (the best you could do for her was a visual task of picking an outfit? Really?) Guinan (don't know what else could be done with her, she just left me feeling meh) Putting Borg Consuela in a mystery box (I just know that characters will be next) And last but not least a lack of respect for their customers (you don't need to squeeze me at every turn to keep me spending money; it'll do just the opposite) Things I liked: -The dialogue -event was outside of Quahog -seemed clams were plentiful (tribbles, Borg Cube, character sets, etc) -liked the room concept of dropping items Things I disliked: -Took too long to fix a game breaking bug - no extension for many of us that couldn't progress the first week -Item limits were high (Troi, Quagmire, Lois, Loctus, Crusher) -Too few ways of earning particular items (drop rates included) -Too few ways of earning currency -Too many premium (and useless) characters -all new characters aren't from family guy -Quests were way too long (more 24 hour ones in this event than previous ones) -Theme (not a Star Trek fan) -events are still copy pasta (tap squadders, fight other squadders, play shooting game, craft items, boss battle (remember the Yeti? King Butt? Demon Stewie?) -No neighbor interactions (still) |

I'm going to be cutting it close for Kirk. I should have the dark matter no problem, but I'm concerned about the crystals. I was hoping that shooting a few ships/asteroids with all the orange crystals that I built up would get me closer to the total dilithium, but it's pretty much pointless to shoot at anything anymore. I had 20+ orange crystals and only got 2 dilithium crystals, so not exactly a great return. I'll have to go back to really pushing the away missions and hopefully I'll have enough before the event ends. My advice would be to send Peter, Lois and Quagmire to the Borg cube. It's a 1hour mission with a possible 500 crystal payout and a chance at clams. I find it pays about 1in 4 times. That's what I've been doing. My experience has been somewhere between yours and Carter's, but I think I might have enough for Kirk tomorrow. Has anyone got the Herbert skin yet or know when it's gonna be available? Once I'm done getting crystals for Joe, I will be spamming it. Gotten at least 30 clams from it so far. Update: well as I see the timer is on crunch mode now, I have only one shot at defeating level 5 Bertrum. Its on level 3 now with level 4 to start later today. I need 50 Dark Matter (exactly!) to get Joe, and like 2k in crystals. I went ahead and bought the Data Chip center and Fencing things to get those out of the way. The 500 was a little more friendly yesterday. The items for Joe have been done since they launched. |

The worst part is that I defeated him right before I got the task to defeat him. Great job! I guess we are at the same point, that's my only quest right now. My Bertrum is level 3, so twice will take till tomorrow. I don't have time to reset since I need 50 Dark Matter to get Joe, and the only way to get that much in 3 days is to put my luck to the test with level 5. If I let him reset tomorrow, I'd have 2 days to make it back, and don't think that's enough time. If his recharge wasn't 4 hours or could be sped up, it might be doable. Kirk is out of the question. 15k in crystals is 15k too much. 150 Dark Matter is 130 too much. Plenty of Green cubes, light green cubes, blue cubes, orange diamonds to go around though. Don't really care as I've mentioned several times not a fan of Star Trek, so one character out of the premium set isn't going to huge deal. If I had bought the other 5 then it would be something else entirely. I don't plan to buy the other 5 as it's a little late to do that now, and plus I don't have enough clams for more than one of them. |

I read on Tinyco's facebook that they wish to make Kirk easier to get for those of us that dealt with the bugs. No mention of how much or what will change, but should be in place soon.

Just got Herbert's skin! Only missing Kirk and some decos (Joe's skin in progress). Obviously doesn't include premium content.
Phase 4 of Bertrum started, and seems easy enough to defeat. I had 4 free damage off the bat from the former Yeti trick (leaving on past defeat).

Well I lucked out with sending Peter, Lois and Quagmire on the Borg Cube away mission... Lots of clams and kept hitting 500 dilithium. So I got Kirk yesterday. In another 5 hours I should have enough for Captain Pike Joe (lame) outfit which I'll probably never use. I'm back up to 175 free accumulated Clams, so if this keeps up I may snag Q as well. Or just keep saving for the next event  |
