So since there is less than a week left before the end of the event what did you guys think of it and how did you do and how do you think you will do in the next 5 days, when the event is over you can share what your end result was.
Here's my thoughts: What I liked: I was finally added and I even got an outfit.
What I didn't like: I couldn't be on as much as I wanted to for two weeks so didn't earn as much.
How I did/am doing: Have all the trophies up until the Swordsman which I should have today.
Prediction for end of the event: I will at least get the Gorilla I could possibly get King Butt but it won't matter to me if I don't as they will probably rerelease him at some point

IMO it was either a sloppy, unthoughtful event, or a blatant cash grab. Short term profits over player retention, in other words. Way too much content and too many buildings, decorations and shrines. It took far too long as well. Just overdone in general. Bugs and glitches crippled the event further, as well as the non-transparency with regards to the prizes, which was probably done intentionally to cover up how badly executed the event was. All the prizes don't really even have a place in a Quahog, nor is there space for any of it. I guess getting cleveland was cool though. I did get everything from the event, but I really feel bad for anyone spending money on this event. Not to mention how immature the entire thing was.

What I liked: The amount of work put in to this event was outstanding from the cool animations to the amount of new buildings and decorations added.
What I didn't like: The amount of clams needed for each decoration. The majority of new objects cost between 100 and 200 clams. After a while the clams begin to add up leaving someone who is a completest spending hundreds of dollars.
Where I stand: I only spent $20 on the event. With so many things coming out I thought I would just get a few things that I really wanted. I currently have 60,000 idols and I would have liked to get king butt though I don't think its possible.
Overall I enjoyed the event and hope they keep up the quality of work ---

What I liked: Cleveland, his costume and two buildings associated with him(St. Elmo Clam and 80's dance floor are great). Some fun new buildings and decorations (even tough most of them are in my inventory now). What I didn't like: amount of premium items and clams needed to complete the event. Seriously I've spent about 20€ trough the whole month and I have only 41600 idols. I will be lucky to get Swordman. I also hate small number of characters that earn idols (Characters from first two districts plus Cleveland and one of Lois costumes).
The whole event looks like it was made to grab as much money as possible. And when EA-the winner of title of worst company-does event that is less money consuming than this you should worry.

What I liked: Cleveland + costume + the 'free' decorations (most of them) + a few of the prizes (pyramid, volcano) What I disliked: the over the top amount of premium buildings. I think at the very least that the stalls, plus the exotic buildings should have changed to idols/cash AFTER you get the items for Cleveland/costume. I'd love some of them in my town, however, if they are paying out only cash - absolutely pointless to make that purchase. I also was not a fan that there was a major spawn bug for at least the majority of the event - and it took too long to patch it - yet they didn't extend the event. Also wasn't a fan that you had to go premium heavy just to get the character at the end. Seems you needed a minimal of a large shrine plus a medium (or second large) just to hit the goal of 100k without much worry. Even playing hourly didn't seem to majorly affect my chances at the character - which is typically rewarding - but not for this game. Overall while the characters are nice, there were some very humorous dialogues and journals - the premium content seemed way too strong (as in too many), and each premium item was ultra expensive too. It would have been much better if the goals were attainable without being premium. I think if future events are designed like this one, the fan base will shrink and the game will be shut down much sooner than TSTO.

The event is meh. I'm freemium, and I will probably only get to the pyramid in the next 6 days. It is too hard to obtain idols being freemium or to get many prizes, especially as I cannot go on every second of the day like some of you guys do. I hope other events they do will not be so much of a grind to get stuff, and there is much less premium content. Maybe if half the premium items were available for idols, it would be a little better.
Also, the fact the capsule and sarcophagus were available for clams as well, they could have been for idols instead.
I hope TinyCo make events a little easier and with less premium content in the foreseeable future.

My big thing with premium buildings that "always drop" .. The cost is slightly (only slightly) cheaper than buying all the items separately (like when it says get 1 for 10 clams) so when Cleveland was sinking in sand I needed say 7 more of whatever.. So that would be 70 clams.. Yet the building was like 150 clams.. So at that point any incentive to buy that building is gone.. And chances are you would get enough pieces quick enough to make it cheaper to buy each item than buying the buildings.. Same with Cleveland's outfit, as far as I know you couldn't buy each item, but there was the "create now" option which was close to the same cost as buying the 3 buildings.. Which all signs just point to money grab.. It should be significantly cheaper to invest in getting the character cheaper and a little quicker but still waiting than just buying him outright and getting him instant.. But it wasn't.

I did point out in mine, the buildings are basically useless after you grab the item - so I offered they should be for cash/idols after the item is gone for good. There's no real point to them after the fact.

I liked the new content, but the event had a horrible delivery. For starters too much stuff and no new land to place it on. Unless that pyramid space were to become available, which it won't, everything new will need to be crammed in. The release of always drop premium buildings so late made them very useless. Their hiding of the Idol goal was also very annoying. Hopefully they make a converter or something for all these useless butts. Those shrines should also have a purpose after the event

For me, the things I like have been hugely overshadowed by all the dislikes. It is ridiculous that iOS players had to wait 3 or 4 days for updates when android players didn't. How hard is it to hold updates until all platforms are approved? EA games manages it, so do other game companies. The extreme cash grab is insane, it hurts the loyalty base and encourages cheating. I know of 4 friends playing android that suddenly got a weird message saying they were being switched to classic view, meaning they lost the pyramid and idols but still had quests for the event and after days, none if them have heard back from TinyCo. This event has dragged for weeks with no visible end game. It started off nicely but...I feel bored, insulted and cheated so far. They are going to have to change something fast to keep me as a player. Every one else I know has dumped it already.

I believe the idea is you get 3 unique buildings and a character/costume guaranteed for your clams. For me I wanted more buildings and decorations and they certainly delivered on that wish. I understand the mechanics of the premium items butt they should have been cheaper overall. I liked the 100 back for all three though. And it should have been 100 max for premium items and especially for the sarcophagi! At these prices your generally all in or all out. I think that's a weird way to test your player base so early in the games lifespan. Overall I give The Event 3/5 and a 'I see what your doing there'

Now let's just look at the buildings.. Set of 3 for adventure peter items $10 Set for Cleveland items $10 Set for Cleveland outfit items $10 All 3 shrines $20
So that adds up to 50 bucks already.. That's not including the $3.5 sarcophagus spins that won't necessarily even help you much.. At the VERY LEAST the buildings temporary currency should have been butts.
Too high of a dollar figure for an event...

How do you afford this many clams?

I intensely disliked this event. Much worse than EAs. I decided to get a boatload of donuts today, with the money I was going to spend on this game. I'm going to get the £2.99 pack of clams and get gold adventure Peter statue (not out yet, seen on website). It looks nice. I will carry on playing as a 75% free player. (No large amounts , buying non limited time items or chance based rubbish) I will buy items that are guaranteed with no chance boxes/wheels and are limited time. hope this makes sense ps. I'd rather buy the extremely overpriced gold mansion (limited time in tapped out) than those stupid 120 clam glorified wheels.
