I hope you all didn't spend real money on all those event items...

He is my event inventory as a premium player (mostly duplicates except for the stalls and small shrines) I have 20k butts sitting there idol and a weeks worth ahead. So there appears to be a balance issue between freemium and premium players, one which may or may not have been calculated properly.. There is not only a balance issue between freemium and premium players. There is also a balance issue with premium players who are willing to shell out a lot of cash to buy clams and premium players who cannot spend that kind of cash on a game. How much clams did you have to buy to get all this? I have bought clams, but you just need too many to get everything. I have only just earned the pyramid. So nowhere close to the other prices. I am done spending money on this game. It's not worth it. The value tiny co is putting on this game is absolutely ridiculous... I mean honestly.. A freemium game, IMO, would operate well if it required say $10-20 a month investment to support the game. The dollar figure if you were to buy everything is outrageous. It isn't motivating players to want to pay.. It will die a lot faster because the cost is simply too high... The Simpsons seems cheap to play in comparison. This event should be obtainable for players who purchased say the middle sized butt shrine or even the large one.. But those butts barely make an impact on the total when what you need is over 20000 to the next goal.. The the shots.. What would be a god send to players turns out to be another atrocious money grab.. 120 clams for at most 25 shots? How much money does tiny co actually expect players to dish out on a monthly/weekly/daily basis?

This King Butt task does seem very pointless. In order to make it worth anything you need to heavily invest in clams. Most ppl that heavily invest in clams are likely already far past the 100k idols goal.
If you think about it after completing the mission task there's no point on pursuing the task Mathematically, unless you'll use plenty of clams. MP + Seamus = 160 idols every 8 hours. You only get 40 idols during the same time with either Peter getting shots. And usually not enough to achieve the second streak

i've enjoyed the event overall, i may or may not reach the final goal(especially as i am away this weekend). i have spent a moderate amount on clams and used them to purchase some of the event items. i do think possibly the way this has worked and the cost it involves to those who want everything is a little harmful to the game...if you are desperate to keep up..but can't afford it, then the obvious thing is to go find a hacked version. in the long run tiny might be better off considering making things more achievable/affordable and that would make people more likely to stick with them and fund the games development??

Yes I'll probably do the same though so far it seems the first 3 levels I'll get away without using any clams And ppl getting upset about not getting everything bed to understand that's the cost of free. There's plenty of games where only to percent will get certain rewards. At least here everyone has a shot. And in those games where only a certain percentage get the top tier rewards the money and time spent far exceed this game. It comes down to you'll get what you pay for and time you put into it. Besides I'm sure King Butt like the premium character will not be crucial or very useful

Besides I'm sure King Butt like the premium character will not be crucial or very useful However this game is not directly competing against someone else. There's no ranked prizes and no need to "finish first" to win. It's an individual collection. Certain aspects of this event should have been game event currency.. The buildings to gain "always drop items" to unlock characters and outfits. One of the idol shrines. It should have also been possible for the grinders to get 100k idols. The frequent daily players would come close and a SMALL investment would put them over (so a sarcophagus or bigger shrine would have done the trick). More casual daily players would have needed to invest a little bit more to complete it all. And etc etc. Premium players should not need to spend more than $20 of clams to get everything easily. That would make the event successful. But in this case players who made small purchases during the event, and I mean spending $20 of clams as a "small" purchase will struggle to get anywhere near the 100k.. How much money in your opinion should someone put on a game monthly? Especially a mobile game designed to keep you tapping for 5 mins and then come back later.. Not a continuous gameplay genre. Since the game came out I spent $40 on regular stuff, then another $20 on this event and king butt seems out of the question for me. How is that going to make the average player want to keep playing? They support the game with what seems like a more than fair dollar figure, yet get nowhere near enjoying the event to the fullest. Spending a whole week to get adventure Peter, then another for Cleveland, and another for the outfit.. Probably finish 75% of the event with 40k -60k idols. And somehow have only a single week left to try and get up to 100k.. Oh but wait king butt has a multiplier! This will surely help me get up to the 100k in a week.. Oh.. I need 8 jelly-yo shots? How the eff will I be able to get these 8.. I managed phew.. What the actual eff... Now I need 18?! And only have 24 hours to do that?! It's not possible. Oh sarcophagus.. 120 clams?! Now let's just look at the buildings.. Set of 3 for adventure peter items $10 Set for Cleveland items $10 Set for Cleveland outfit $10 All 3 shrines $20 So I'm at 50 bucks already.. That's not including the $3.5 sarcophagus spins that won't necessarily even help you much.. At the VERY LEAST the buildings temporary currency should have been butts. I just can't understand how this kind of structure will keep the honest average player buying clams. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Both to the developers, and us on the forums. If future events are modeled like this one, the fan base will drop the game and/or be significantly LESS inclined to purchase clams. I did buy $20 of clams. Only got 1 large shrine (rest I spent on Buzz). I'm at 82k - I don't know if I can make it. 6 days... eh, it will be CLOSE. I've been playing 4 hourly now with this last set of items to collect. I was hourly for weeks before.

Interesting fact, despite the event FGTQFS has actually dropped in highest grossing games. I think it was like to 5 not too long ago, it's 13th now. I've never been too sure if it's calculated monthly or weekly, but it's still a bit weird it dropped during their first large event

I wasn't on the forum last week because I was away, but I was playing my game. On one hand, I'm happy that I'm not the only one who is not happy. On the other hand, it really sucks because this has the potential to be a good game. When I first saw that the event ended shortly after my vacation, I was concerned that I might not make it to the last prize. By the time I left, I just didn't give a rat's ass anymore. The mummy spawn rate or lack of mummies spawning made the event that much harder. You would think that they would have figured out what the problem was when it happened with the damn clowns, but nope same problem with the mummies. Now this jelly-o shot thing. There is no way and I mean no way to get the last couple multipliers without spending clams unless you know what you will need, get lucky enough to get the shots you need, save them up and then do it as a run once you have everything.
I've spent money on this game (somewhere between $75-100), spent clams on the event items that I think I can fit into my design once the event is over, bought a couple of each sarcophagus spending a total of 285 clams (subtracted what I won back), bought the 4k butts package, bought several booty boxes (seriously WTF do I need with 4 yachts when there's not much water) and I just hit 70k idols this morning. Oh did I mention that the first couple weeks of the event I played hourly except for the few hours a night I was sleeping (and as someone with chronic insomnia, I wasn't sleeping much). So here I am I've spent money, I've done the grind and there is no way I'm going to get the last prize. So yeah, now I remember why I have never had a TinyCo app for more than a few days before this one.
If I was close to getting the last prize, you wouldn't hear a peep out of me because I didn't do the grind for a few days. Something about spending time with my family was just far more valuable than King Butt. But, I'm not close even though I was assured by customer support that it was doable even with the mummy glitch. I'm not even close to being close. This is what irks me. I know King Butt is going to be as useless as most of the costumes and the event items, but I invested the time and I've invested money and I should at least be close to getting this useless piece of pixelated crap for my trouble. Good job TinyCo, I'll keep playing (at least for now), but I won't be spending any more money on clams. I'll revisit whether or not I want to keep playing once I run out of the clams I have.
