I need two tickets and two headphones to unlock Carl.
Seems like Alice Cooper (week 3) was the hardest/slowest for the freebie unlock so far. The rest has been pretty lax..

Yea, the nice thing about these 24h challenges is that they're so ridiculous with what they ask you to do that it's easy to just ignore them and not worry about it. The first one seems easy enough. 4 Bears, 12 bee swarms, 3 toadies and a 12 hour task for Joe. I liked that you got to pick when to start it. The 12 hour task is done, 3 bears cleared, and 5 bee swarms and 2 toadies (third will be done in a few minutes). I triggered it before clearing Peter off his toadie task, and before I sent to remove a golden bear (used a normal bear instead). So while DJ Herbert will wait a day, I figured I'll have the challenge done, along with that new quest line that rewards clams for clearing bee swarms and bears.

Your timing was better than mine, but I got 3 overlapping quests with bears and bees and I only need 1 toadie for the 24-easy peasy.

Wow. This game is currently 111 on the Apple App Store. DURING AN EVENT. That is bad. To give some perspective, this game usually is 20-40 during events and 40-70 the rest of the time. This does not bode well for the future of the game. What makes this so much worse for TinyCo is their overhead. Every event they're paying to use some company's IP or celebrities for their likeness and to record lines. Or both. That can't come cheap. I can't imagine Weird Al or Snoop getting out of bed for anything less than $50k. Maybe this is just a fluke and business will pick up next week. But I think this has to be worrying to them. If they don't turn this around soon, I wouldn't be surprised if this game is gone by this time next year. Where was TSTO? Just was curious. It was around 40. It generally holds to the same pattern; 20-40 in events, 40-70 the rest of the time.

Quick question: how many glow sticks does a brown bear drop? No idea. You probably have to craft everything that requires tickets before it spits out glow sticks.

So apparently TinyCo just talks out of their ass and doesn't mean a word they say. Big surprise, right? During their recent Q&A they were asked why we can't use past characters to help out during events. Their response: "Resources, mostly. Events like this involve so many moving pieces and so much new content that we have to decide where to spend resources. Adding drops to past characters involves making a lot of adjustments, removing those at the end of the event, adjusting the economy, and many other things behind the scenes. Add to that how not all players have past premium characters, and the costs of adding these back sources add up quickly." So of course now that their profits are plummeting they miraculously found a way to give past characters tasks to earn glow sticks. Paul Stanley Gene Simmons 80's Pop Star Cleveland Hayley Smith Punk Rock Chris All are 8 hours and pay the usual 3 glow sticks. Which works out to roughly 1/3 glow stick per hour per character. So there's chintzy ass TinyCo trying once again to look like they listen and respond to their customers without actually doing much. Though it's better than nothing I suppose.

Thanks for the heads up. In this case, they created more work than they needed to - in regards to Chris. Normal Chris already has an 8 hour task that generates 3. So they "added an extra resource" but it was 100% pointless. Now they have an extra one to remove. It should have been only on this particular skin then, and not normal Chris. If I remember right, this costume is one of the first ones to get. Since I've been doing 12s for my leveling characters, Cleveland is locked into Loretta's task, so he won't be generating any glowsticks until tonight.

I only need 2 more records to unlock DJ Herbert, I just cleared another Honey Gold Bear and got a damn coin instead of a record. I'm sure it's a Tiny scheme to try to get me to pay 70 clams for them.

This just shows how full of shit they are. If it were really that much more work and "resources" to code a skin to help, they wouldn't have bothered to do it to Punk Rock Chris and left it at the other four. But they were combing through all old characters and skins looking for anything music related and thought, eh what the hell. Same thing with Hayley. ONE player asks for her to have a task in this event during their Q&A so they do it.
