How about McBain? 120 donuts for the Film Set/skin. How about Kamp Bart? 200 donuts (but get a building). Those are more applicable since the original character was not premium. Limited time? Witch Marge (90 + cauldron). What I'm getting at is the majority of skins come with something. In addition, that something (along with the premium skin) also offer some type of bonus to that purchase. Sideshow Bob is a limited time character and his skin is also limited time - which is closer in comparison to Loctus / Picard. While Picard wasn't premium, he was certainly incredibly difficult to get for most fremium players. Brian's skin comes with a task this event to earn chief fire hat to open mystery boxes.  We can go back and forth but ultimately nobody's forcing anybody to buy clams on this game or donuts in Tapped Out. We don't have to have everything in the game; much like I passed on the premium mystery box to win Consuela's Borg skin nor did I buy the whale in Tapped Out.  Agreed. Let me know how many fire hats you get after 5/28. I'll let my whale continue to earn 7% on all income and jobs . I understand the freedom of choice for purchases, what I'm saying is the benefits don't match for similarly priced items between games. You can compare a 600 clam item (equal to 300 donuts) to the whale, and the whale would still provide something for the player instead of something to look at, or won't be used when the event ends. I also wouldn't write it off as 185 clams, as there's no guarantee that the player acquires Seamus' skin (let alone Chris' skin). I understand there was sufficient time for both, but that doesn't mean everyone was able to acquire both. There was sufficient time to get Picard, Captain Kirk, etc - but saw plenty of people asking for an additional extension after the already given 1 week. |

I screwed up and didn't pay attention to time, I was watching a movie and I missed out on my last prize, so I missed the stupid fire cake thing in the helicopter.

I set my alarm so I don't miss the last couple of prizes. Only had gotten the gold fire hydrant. Oh well, prizes were lame, and tasks were way too short (1 hour for firemen). I think there's only like 7 characters in my town now. 6 trekies and Mr. "levels way too slow" (aka Tom Tucker). Peter, Chris and Seamus were put back into storage for the next event.
Although I think Riker will hit max today.

Only had gotten the gold fire hydrant. Oh well, prizes were lame, and tasks were way too short (1 hour for firemen). I think there's only like 7 characters in my town now. 6 trekies and Mr. "levels way too slow" (aka Tom Tucker). Peter, Chris and Seamus were put back into storage for the next event. Although I think Riker will hit max today. Actually enjoyed this mini-event. The mechanics were different-- putting out fires, Seamus got a skin-- finally-- and I liked that most of the buildings and decos were in-game coins, not premium, and the prizes in the mystery box were decent and not premium either. My only problem is the lack of land. It's been awhile since we got any more land in the game. |
