Well at least they added a collection (25 clam reward) for the firefighters. Hopefully it's possible to get the other 2 "free" and not have to buy Brian's for 200 clams. What! What! Whaaaaat!? I've always wanted a Dalmatian for a dog and bought his skin. It cost less than Chris' skin when buying it outright before collecting stuff (that's how I rationalize it anyway).  Plus Brian's skin has a 12-hour task that drops chief fire hat for the mystery boxes. Hope it helps with unlocking Seamus' skin as well. |

It doesn't make any sense that Brian's skin would be in Al Harrington's if there's nothing to collect for it. I agree, has to be a bug. I was hoping it would correct itself when I finally unlock fireman Chris, but it sounds like that's not going to happen. I just need gas cans and axes, with 3 poles going I should have them today if I can remember to log in at the right times.
On the plus side, I finally got rid of the Chumbawumbas that reappeared at the beginning of the Star Trek event. I had to defeat them all again.

As the Star Trek characters had a 15 pointer on top of a "normal" value (like 250). So something that should be 200 gets a 10 spot added to it. (Not that I would pay 200 for it anyways, anything over 50 is too much for a standalone skin that does not have a building, does not pay any premium xp/coins, does not offer a bonus %, has all visual tasks (good ones) and has 0 value in a week). Not worth to spend 210 to get 25 back. Nothing in the mystery box screams to have it either. I read on Tinyco's FAQ that both mystery boxes have identical prizes, so even though he drops that required item, it won't be something that freemium players can't get in the axe box. |

So you need to
1: 1 FE to Train 1hr to get 1 gas
2: 2 gas to train 4hrs to get 1 axe/ fireman
3: You need 2 axe/ firemen to put out purple fire to get 1 jaws of life
4: And 6 JOL to get 1 prize
5: Repeat 5 more times to get all 6 prizes by the 27th.
Steep
1: = 1hr
2: = 6hrs
3: = 12hrs
4: = 3days
5: = 18 days

Still puzzled why there's 2 premium firepoles. I mean 1 is ok, but 2 of them? 4th should be like 5 jaws of life or something. I even like that there's a premium fireman to train too. It's like: "GREAT DEAL! SPEND 130 CLAMS NOW, AND YOU WILL NEVER SEE THIS FEATURE AGAIN!" Thought the same thing for the premium "date walkthrough" thing from Valentine's Day, the premium "planets" to visit during Star Trek. Basically throwing away clams on in-game temporary features. What stinks is these are also outrageously expensive, not like 10 clams or something that anyone would actually pay. Sure I'll give you the equivalent of 1/2 a character for an event feature that will disappear when the event is over. __________ Anyways, I tried my luck sending a message to Tinyco that I'm not seeing the required items for Brian's skin to see what they have to say. Normally the premium skins weren't added to Al's until they were bought and paid for. |

It seems like they only like to spawn 1 red fire creature at a time now. Last few times I generated 2 upgraded firemen had to sit and wait for the next one to spawn. Well finally got 10 axes, so unlocked the third fire pole, so now I can start generating jaws of life easily now. Just need to log in hourly now.

I did buy the 25 clam planet during Star Trek to get the Bat'leth battle arena and was disappointed with it since it wasn't animated. Why have it look like fire is shooting out of a structure just to have it be stationary? Speaking of disappointment, once I got over Firedog Brian being premium I'm kind of enjoying the relaxed nature this event has taken. It's like they decided that they weren't making enough money off the temporary features and decided at the last minute to switch Brian's requirements from item gathering to premium to make up the difference which then left a gaping hole in content in the middle of the event. Which is fine by me. I don't care for anything in the mystery box. The boat is the only thing I halfway want but only if I could do more with it than just dock it on the shore. The rest would end up in inventory. And you're probably right about Seamus being thrown in the mystery box. Right now I'm just training the 1 hour firefighters and collecting gas cans until I know what Seamus's skin will require. FYI regarding the jaws of life: Once you create six you have to spend them on the mystery box in order to be able to create more. If you try for more you just earn coin until you spend them. |
