tbh, I think most people that have King Butt from last summer, probably got him from the well known airplane mode glitch that was exploited and resulted in the jacked clams controversy a couple months ago  That's the only reason I have him ^_^ |

I found out about that one thanks to this board on the very last day of the event. Still very grateful to whomever posted that tip  I was so disappointed and frustrated throughout the event. Then I read that and spent that last day logging on every 15 min to get the last 30 or 40k needed for King Butt. Plus I got enough idols to decorate to my liking. I couldn't do the airplane glitch since only android users could take advantage. Probably for the best anyways. |

The current stuff in the store is really making me mad. A bunch of it is the stuff from the mystery boxes that I paid clams for and being offered for free. While it's nice to have multiples, it is incredibly a slap in the face since it went from premium to free.

I don't mind anybody getting a second chance to get items or characters they might've missed but seeing all those comicon mystery box items being offered for in game cash is bs. I'm going to contact customer support and bitch. Probably won't do much good but they might suprise me and offer some clams back haha. |

I just got the mystery box offer and the only thing in it is Rollocop Joe. Since he was only available on Android before, I'm not even sure if I'll be able to do anything with him on IOS. Unless someone has a compelling reason why I should pay 125 clams to get him, I think I'll pass.

The only event i have never completed was the King Butt event, so the chance to get him is too great to pass and am working my big fat backside off to get him
Currently 29/40 Ankhs, 4/5 Sonic Screwdrivers, 9/11 ghosts
Now, the new items they have released from previous events this morning when i logged in are interesting, and because they are for in game cash, i bought them, all of them, and then put them in storage as i have no space lol. Then the mystery box 2 appeared, which meant that there was something i did not have, and it was Pee Pants Peter, so, what they hey, 125 clams, half the price he was last year when he was released for clams, so a good deal (even though i don't like paying premium currency for skins).
I like the fact they have done this, released items previously unachievable or bought from previous events - the Clamterprise is my prize piece. I was never going to gamble clams when it was in the mystery prize box during ComicCon, but there it was, for cash. Awesome!

This is absolutely why i NEVER spend clams on event boxes, because there is a chance they will return, all be it some time later. It's a gamble, no doubt about it, but i'd rather wait for them to be released again like this. Clamterprise i'm sooooooooooo happy to have, loved it then, love it now. When i get some space, it's getting it's own plot of land. I think this is an interesting tactic from TinyCo, items from 2014 being re-released The mystery box 2 got me, what didn't i have, well, it was Pee Pants Peter, and if i remember correctly, he was originally released for 250 clams (possibly more), so 125 clams isn't too bad as i did really want that skin. For those who have the opportunity to get Rollocop Joe, do it, it's worth it for his 6hr task! |

He pulls an entire arsenal from his wheelchair and fires them all at once and knocks himself back. It's one of my favorite tasks but 125 clams is a little steep. I got him by logging onto an android device back then and I'm able to use him just fine on my iPad. |

It seems they're doing this in waves. He might be in the 3rd mystery box. Some people have said that they had Francis Griffin and Diane Simmons graves appeared in their inventory when they came back in the first mystery box, placed them and got them for free. Maybe the same will be for mr. Weed if he comes. |

And i'm not afraid to say that i refuse to buy mystery boxes for this very reason. If an item returns, it returns, if an item never turns up again, it never turns up again. That is sods law. If they choose to make Tearjerker Island free, then so be it, it's TinyCo's choice to do so. I won't lose any sleep over it, i won't gripe about it, I bought it purely because it was one of my favourite American Dad episodes. Just like it doesn't bother me that because i won and bought every premium character in an event since ComicCon, and now some of them have a slight discount on them, doesn't bother me, in fact, i hope people take the chance to actually get these things. My major gripe, is the fact that those who DO buy the premium stuff get butt fu... ummm, left with a useless premium character that does nothing afterwards (although TinyCo are now trying to add more item earning tasks for them these days, but nowhere near enough). while this may be seen as unfair to newer players, long time players who have bought the premium characters don't really get the bang for their buck. As for showing compassion, i've always been very supportive of freemium players being as we all came from that ocean at one time, but lets be honest, the abuse some premium players get elsewhere because they choose to make their gameplay more entertaining, well, i'm starting to run out of compassion and actually start looking from my own point of view now, i'm premium, i expect premium characters and buildings to do more, and i will keep asking TinyCo about this and hopefully one day they will actually start doing it. I did not intend to turn this into an aggressive but defensive post, but you left me with no choice to do so. Sorry, I respect all opinions but I also have the need to be honest about how i feel about gameplay, i hate being backed into corners because it means i have to come out fighting to make my points and/or feelings felt. |

As if this statement is supposed to invalidate any and all complaints. Of course you're not forced to spend money. That isn't the point. For example you (and others) complain about premium characters being useless. I don't agree. Yes it would be nice if they helped with items but I buy them for their visual tasks and for the most part am not disappointed. When they do help its a bonus. I too could respond to a complaint about that by stating "you're not forced to spend money..." But I respect people's opinions and would never try to make them feel like their opinion/complaint isn't valid or worthwhile. 2.
