Will Rupert be available by other means soon. TinyCo really needs to stop doing these short events where you need to play all day or spend massive clams to get these things. I bought the Sandbox but that didn't help at all, and the "last day" was just lawl. I missed out on getting him during the event. By the time I realized they had extended it, I didn't have enough to even open one box yesterday. So yeah, sucks to be me on this one. I looked and he's showing up as a character now in FaceSpace. Clicking on the greyed out icon gave me a message that I needed the Bare Bear Tanning Salon or something similarly named. I'm guessing it's not available since I didn't see it in the store. They did update the popup message Tuesday nightish (CST) saying it would be extended through Wednesday, but the new toys didn't kick in until like Wednesday @ noon PDT / 2pm CST. Then they only lasted like 16 hours, expiring this morning early (thankfully I get up early). So 2 boxes was only possible if you woke up when the toy launched and was able to play for 16 hours, or you forfeited some clams speeding it up. I took a MAJOR risk, speeding up the last hour for 8 clams, then resetting the tasks overnight - and managing to check the game immediately waking up 6 hours later to see 4 more toys early this morning. That allowed me to buy a second box, and thankfully that box had Rupert in it. It was a 33% shot as I only had Rupert, Gold Digger Island, and Peter's Pirate car left. I felt I was going to be stiffed with a second pointless island, be somewhat happy with the car or be incredibly happy to get Rupert. |

Bare Bear Tanning Salon was the free building they gave you if you were lucky enough to get Rupert. (I'm still butthurt about this event, I kept getting Sparkles and the whole extra day thing was really only from 4pm to midnight for me so I was only able to open one box.) Only was able to get 6-7 boxes because of those damn Sparkles, and because I didn't realize the event was happening until the night of the first day.

Agreed that it's over - still took away 4 hours of tasking today though. Oh well. To be fair, it only worked 3 times (4 once). It had to be on cellular data, and as soon as the prize was shown I had to drag the menu up, turn on airplane mode, double tap home button to force close app, turn off airplane mode and repeat. On the third time, some reason I think it's faster to connect to the cell tower - so it was able to still give me the prize despite airplane mode being turned on. Since I commute to the city, my cell obviously changes over different towers, so I'd be on "4G" sometimes, and 4 LTE on others, so I think once it knew what tower it was connecting to again - it was faster to upload the prize. I still always got the third prize, so I think it had to say that the prize was redeemed and started uploading to inventory and their server, so by the third time it was able to post the prize. I did see the car one time, but had my eyes on Rupert at the time. |

Is it sad that I timed my character's tasks around my procedure? Actually, I know the answer to that.........  |

Grrrrr! just saw it too... 250Clams? bit pricey for a character that isnt all that interesting, there are plenty more choices they could have made. should have just kept him exclusive to that box thing, rupert has no interest to me at all |
