I was going to spend clams to speed up the shrines but I just got him because of this and my premium characters who were doing there longest tasks

I am on IOS. Tried this 2 times and it did not work. Did not work for my sister either. We defeated king butt, during the 60 sec force closed the game, waited 5 min and opened the game and helas no extra shots.  What are we doing wrong? |

DAMN IT! It's all over. I spent all my remaining idols on booty boxes and remaining clams on sarcophaguses and finished the event with a total of 99,695 idols, only 305 short (which I would have easily got if the mummies hadn't gone for the last 24 hours). The pyramid is no longer clickable but there is no way I'm letting the game shut down. I'm hoping once the throne time depletes, it'll start again and I can get my final batch of idols by defeating him.

Wish I seen this earlier. Finished the event with 65k idols. I have 250 clams but I don't think they would have helped out my position. I hope King Butt is available again later, not tied to an event though. My luck with events is not good recently, I didn't finish the last two on the Simpsons and won't finish their current one(probably miss out on two prizes) and I failed this one as well.

Thanks for posting this. I used it to finish the event which I never would've been able to do without it. I don't usually take advantage of glitches like this but I was ripped off of so many idols when my mummies weren't spawning the right way. Just happy for it to be over.

YEEEEHAW!
I left the game open, ipad on charge and set to never sleep.
Did a few more actions including get more Jelly-yo shots. Defeated King Butt a few more times, bought booty boxes and got the King as a playable character 11 hours after the event had actually finished.
