Just a FYI on this method. This does work but it also results in a ghost King Butt. You'll still be able to give tasks to your original one but the other will simply wander around and be the target of your Jell-yo shots.

I got a mega glitch with mine. Not only did it restore the same multiplier, but it jumped all my shot counts! I only had perhaps about 22-26 shots in storage since my previous defeat, but when I put the golden statue back into storage, I had 22 blue, 20 red, and 34 purple. I definitely did not have that many purple. I cashed in 20 blue to knock a 25x multiplier, and now I need 40 purple to hit the 50x. I'll definitely be able to hit that.

Did the shot amount increase or something, or did I have a more fortunate glitch?

I haven't got king butt, and I know I won't. But I had a few of each while at 10x. Then, when I went back on the game it said I had 20 red, and 23 each for blue and purple. I dont have enough for 40 to get 50x. But I'm not too bothered.

I'm the same the only way I'll get him is to spend 1200 clams before 3pm ET tomorrow speeding up the 8h shrine to get the last 38k+ idols I need

I don't want to spend clams on this event, especially as I'm freemium. I've done quite well to get this far. Hoping next event isn't so much of a grind.

After my huge haul today, I'm thinking it was possible - just the pace of it was way off.  I'm up to 120k now (had a mega jump with the 25x defeat today).

The only assistance I've had:
Large shrine (1000-1500 daily)

Premium characters - ??X

4k bonus with clam purchase

10k from the booty box

I should be able to get the 50x kill today which will be a major increase as well, and taking the above away - it seems more and more likely that someone without these items would have had a fair shot, assuming they played dedicated daily.

The only reason I don't like grinding is because I don't have enough time to go on the game with school, actual life, etc. So I have little time to sit on the game non stop for hours, which I wouldn't do anyway as it is quite boring. If I put effort into doing that, I could have got to King Butt, but I just don't have the time or like the idea of sitting on a game non stop in my spare time.

I have all 3 premium shrines but I wasn't able to be on alot for two weeks I had my huge increase when I bought the shrines it's probably going to be automatically removed tomorrow but I shut off my updates incase it's a play store one just so I can use the clams I'm buying for a few more shots at the prizes in the booty box and royal sarcophagus. Btw I'm wondering what happens to the throne if someone doesn't get king butt

That stinks, that is one thing I have issue with now - the pacing.  Meaning you basically had to spend a ton of money (to finish early), or you had to be dedicated daily for the entire event.  I only had the large shrine, but I didn't finish until the final days of the event.  That was days (weeks) of hourly tasking and using the best combinations.  So I imagine those without any premium content - you'd have had to do the same thing, but until the final hour.  Each extra large shrine or purchasing the Stewie Buddhas would speed up the process a lot.  Or abusing the 1 minute tasks, minute mummies, etc.  

Which is opposite of the Stonecutter event.  Didn't need any premiums, and was completed with at least 2 weeks of filler.  As long as the player was dedicated, it was easy to finish a lot sooner.

yea I even started that event late didn't go on every day or visit people alot and missed some days for number 1s task but still finished. Come to think of it your town was the last one I visited before I got KBBL and Satan's anvil
