I seem to have the opposite problem. I got the headbands 2 days ago, yet I have 0 eyes. Dr. Hartman and Peter have been mostly non-stop since the district launched. The headbands were an issue until 2 days ago, but without the eyes they really mean nothing. Well not the item itself, but the time taken to get the headbands since there's still outstanding items. Peter is already being out leveled by Chris, Quagmire, Bonnie, etc since he's only doing 6 hour quests (let alone those 24 hour /20 hour quests for district 7) where I have those 3 doing hourly tasks.

I posted this in another thread, so I'll merge it with that if I can find it... but the best place to look for item rarity would be on the Materials list on coolhomer's site.

Took like a week to get my eyes for anime Peter, hopefully the headbands will arrive tonight, it's different with people.

I wonder how the drop system works. Is it just RNG or does it work off the amount of frames since the app launched, like how some old video game did it. I say this because I've had Peter and Dr Hartman on their tasks since it started with no luck yet I was able to get all four whips for S&M Lois in at most a week after placing the fire station. Since I usually clear things in the same way that got me thinking if they drop via the frame count.
Does the code reveal how materials drop?

So far from what I've gathered reading all the different posts about who is collecting what and at what rate, is this. 100% random...some people (like myself) collected all three "epic" eyeballs in one 12 hour span. While others struggle even now to get one using the same tactics as those who collected them quick time, while the quick time eyeball people are struggling to get the hats that the no eyeball club collected in 2 days....I really don't think this whole "common, rare, extra rare and epic" thing really matters...it's all chance based. That why some days you feel like you get nothing but drop after drop then all of a sudden *POOF* they just stop... Just my two cents.

I collected the shells for Mermaid Peter in 2 or 3 days.
Two eyeballs have been collected since district 7's release. Peter and Hartman have been doing their tasks non-stop.
I have just yesterday, with help of some clams, collected all headbands for Lois and Peter. Took me more than a week.
All the other items don't give me that much trouble, haven't found a single whip though, but I only finished building the Fire Station two days ago.

I did manage my first eyeball yesterday, got my last 2 hats this morning.. so the only item left now is eyeballs, and I need 2 of them. On the plus side I could have it in 1 check. But I will only have a shot for 6 potential eyeballs before leaving for my vacation. 2 in like 2 hours, 2 more 8 hours later, and 2 when I get up in the morning.

Headbands drove me mad but got them now. Strangely found the eyeballs easy. But don't get me started on whips...

I don't really understand the use of the word EPIC to describe the possibility of getting something if the possibility is incredibly low. This is not correct English.
If "Chance = Epic" then surely that'd mean you have a very good chance. Epic, adjective, grand in scale.

If "Chance = Epic" then surely that'd mean you have a very good chance. Epic, adjective, grand in scale. That's because the word "Epic" does not relate to chance in the sense which you think it does, it's more of a way of describing what type of item it is; Epic (Adjective), "particularly impressive or remarkable". So that means an item that is "remarkable" has a really slim chance of appearing whereas a common item, an item that is "generally expected" has a better chance of appearing when it comes to probability.
