I still remember following Escobar's own goal for Colombia back in 94, Alan Hansen on the BBC said he should be shot for his defensive mistake.......Unfortunately on his return home he was

Ok, maybe a little harsh... I meant in comparison to the teams already chosen, most of the teams left don't have a cat in Hells chance!! Don't forget who your talking to here I also heard that if we do win were going to detonate some nukes in the atmosphere for our celebration

Yep, also Cortouis, Kompany, Vermaelen, vertongen, Auderweild, witsel, De Bruyne... the list goes on :DThey have lots of wicked young players coming through also, like Hazards brothers who are all quite talented in their own right, apparently... One very much for the future and from such a tiny country about the size of Wales!!! Yup they've got a strong defence as well, and I completely forgot Courtois was Belgian, I wonder if he'll return to Chelsea this summer.. Hope not, that kid is freakin awesome!!! He certainly done his chances no harm with the display he put in against Chelsea... Surprised they allowed him to play in that match... As for returning to the Bridge, think he only went there once for his medical lol... Would certainly be interesting if he did, but I think Mourinho's love for Cech runs too deep to allow him to be dislodged!! Even though Courtois is a decade younger... and, imho, just as talented, if not better than Cech was before he fractured his skull... never been the same since

Most of the good ones are gone now, but there are still at least 3, maybe more worth choosing, i admit that there are some "poor" teams, but you never know what might happen. There are! I'm surprised one of the teams there still hasn't been chosen, and I'm also surprised none of you Americans have backed your nation, tut tut But yeah.. Still a good few teams to choose from There's homerism, and there's realism. Picking the US in the World Cup is definitely the former, so don't you 'tut tut' me. Unless it's the US women, who I will pick ALL DAY. (And who are a heck of a lot better-looking than the US men... and I say this from the perspective of a straight female.)

I don't know much about soccer but I'm in. Since USA is taken, I'll pick the country south of the border-- Mexico!

Haha! Yeah, I have no idea why that's his nickname but his real name is Javier Hernandez I looked it up and his father was also a soccer player, who was nicknamed Chicharo, (he had green eyes like green peas I guess), so Chicharito became his nickname, when he started playing soccer like his father. We learn something new everyday.
