Hey everyone. I've only been playing the game for a couple of months now so I am well behind everyone else but enjoy playing the game. My problem is I am to the point now where I am working on helping Trisha, and 1 of the quests is to have anime Peter do something. My problem is no matter how hard I try I am unable to get some of the items needed to complete him. I need 3 eyeballs which are epic finds. I have been having Dr Hartman doing his chore over and over to get the eyeball since day one and STILL don't have any. Having trouble with a few of the items but not this bad. How am I to expect to continue to play the game and get the restaurant? And I have nowhere near enough clams to buy him. Also had the same problem when trying to acquire Rambo Lois. I could not get her to drop the item I needed no matter how many times I did what was asked. (and that item is also a part of this skin) Was just wondering if anyone else had this problem. Thanks for listening to me rant!

Thanks for listening to me rant! Welcome and we're all frustrated with the drop rates, and it's not the same for everyone. I remember some that I couldn't get like 1/10 and others here got 3/10-4/10, and the reverse for ones that I was getting easily. So hang in there and remember that if it has no time limit relax and do it last, time limit give it first priority (like events or limited time) then get back to the regular stuff eventually you'll get it done.

Thanks for listening to me rant! Yeah, getting him was a pain in the rear. We all had to go through that though. Rambo Lois, Long John Peter, Mermaid Peter, Anime Peter = all had painful drops. It will take a long time to get, especially since we are in the middle of a long event. This has to be a huge obstacle for newer players, as many of the quests require their "core" characters (D1-3: Peter, Bonnie, Lois, Mort, Jerome, Chris, Quagmire, etc). It's like they never want players to catch up since they overlap the quests, item drops. I think for new districts (everything after D8), none of those core characters should be used ever - especially for item drops. Quests ok, as long as they are shorter than 12 hours. But that's part of the problem. They want to throw those characters in, so that you'll feel obligated to throw them $20 so that you can skip it. That's why this game gets frustrating, since you can't make progress, and in order to get progress you have to throw money at them. Or just be ready to spend weeks getting it the "free" way. Which is why we cautioned you to proceed safely. Some stuff will take ages to get, some stuff you can't get unless you give them money.

You're not kidding about them not wanting new players to ever catch up. At least us day one players had the benefit of staggered content releases. I can't imagine trying to start this game now, doing everything simultaneously. It has to turn off a lot of new players.

I can't imagine trying to start this game now, doing everything simultaneously. It has to turn off a lot of new players. I bet it does. Anime Peter was such a chore to get. Worst if memory serves. I think it was around the time they patched the item glitch. I can't even catch up now since I only have 1/2 for 1 item, and 1/3 or 4 for the other working on the job. After I get Joe's outfit, might send Bonnie back for D11. (Before D7, there was an item glitch where if you took your device off grid (disabled Wi-Fi, and turned your phone service off while playing the game) you could get the item (any) to drop 100% of the time using this glitch. Basically it was determined at the end of the job, so if you "disconnected" while collecting payouts, it wouldn't save your game - so you were able to close the game and reopen with your connection active to try the drop again. They have since updated the code to determine the drop at the start of the job, so if you try it now you'll see the same results as it was changed when it was determined.)

Thank you all so much for your input. It is difficult starting at this point in the game (I came in during the mobster quest. I actually have a quest still sitting in the sidebar from that, 'Joe turns a blind eye', but when I click on it there's nothing I can see that applies so it just sits there. Don't know if it's a glitch or what). I have all of the main characters and have kept up with the current quests. I have a lot of time on my hands since I live in a nursing home. Due to that fact I don't have a lot of money and I refuse to pay for something in any game I play. Anyway, thank you all for your comments and thoughts,as a newbie I really appreciate it!

Your welcome. What pops up when you tap Joe's task? Usually if you don't have the required building it shows it locked with a go button on it- click it and open the building it needs. Hope that helps.
