Newbie since the Mobster event

Hi all

I just want to say thanks for this brilliant forum. I started playing around the time of Bird Beard Peter (which I didn't get!) and having played through the Firefighters event and now the Mobster event I'm pretty hooked. 

Am rushing to finish the Mobster Event now. up to 38,299 mob rep and 2,877 on the leader board but I don't think I'll catch up to those in the top 1,000 and I'm starting to think I might not get Mob wife Bonnie. I've spent quite a bit on Clams over the last few weeks and I'm hoping to try and get through future events without spending more money, by following this site and Family Guy addicts and planning ahead better.

Rank 2877 is pretty strong. I'm around 3500. Just trying to hang on in the top 5k, though if I lose the bronze house, no biggie--just a building skin. I also spent more clams than I wanted to, mostly because I went for a mystery box--something I almost never do--because I got the impression that the odds were going to be good based on some misleading comments on an addicts post. Never doing that again.
