It's impossible unless you start it early or use clams.
I got the casino task as well, but I knew it was "bonus" so I didn't start it again... as I need Cleveland Jr.
It takes 24 hours to get enough of the guys from masks. Here's the breakdown:
Casino:
5 masked goons (5 hours)
4 bags of cash (4 hour task, min 8 hours)
Flexing Muscles (6 hour task - Mort/Jerome)
5 masked goons (5 hours)
6 masked goons (6 hours)
+
12 trucks = 6 hours of normal goons
4 girl scouts = 8 masked goons = 8 hours
I understand with good timing and planning, you could have had a free start to the bags of cash, plus getting the 6 hour task started. But the rest is pure solid waiting out the goons. Assuming you started before the task started, you might have a leg up. But it's purely impossible to do freemium. I have 12 hours left, but still need 11 masked goons to finish the casino and in the middle of taking out the trucks. So it's a no go for me and will continue sending masked goons after girl scouts as I'm still short 17 tubas (only need 1 golf ball-rest is paid off). Been too busy sending all the goons at the casino to get the math books and to wrap that out. So I will fail the challenge, so I can ignore the rest.
#Strike2. Bullshit challenges (Strike1: removing currency tasks from Star Trek Characters / redoing currency grind) - I don't give out doubles, so if the other "challenges" are as bull as this one it doesn't count again.

I don't remember the challenges being 24hrs but with all the overlapping challenging content the weekly challeng should be 48-72hrs. TSTO doesn't even grind this hard or cost as much and it a lot funer,+ you know all the content and can plan how to play with few surprises. The only thing we have to are advantage is FGTQFS does the same thing over and over and over and over. So we know we going to get fucked over, scared into spending clam on shit we don't need (why are they always so dam ugly and expensive), then they will make it easier and offer a lot more characters for more clams (at@2x TSTO and it doesn't even come with a building), then offer mystery boxes with more crap and 1-2 things you might want to get for more clams. Same old shit!

Yeah it's pretty lame. Apparently it's for the first of five weekly challenges just like in past events. Only this time it's only for people who have made cash purchases and are designed to be extremely difficult so as to encourage you to spend even more. I lucked out and had a little bit of a head start on this one so I'll finish it and get the casino sign however I won't be spending my entire life or money to complete each week's challenge if they're as tough as this one. Are you sure you'll be able to finish it? I thought it was doable until I looked at Pravda aka addicts. Apparently one has to beat the safe house all 3 times plus, at least for me, one bonus time. I'm only on round 2, so beating it another 2 times after this within 24h will be impossible. Math was never my strong suit. Looks like I miscalculated  I had already finished the casino's 3 rounds and had a full queue ready when the quest hit but I failed to add up correctly the hours it would take for the luchadors. 24 hours just for them alone. Oh well, probably 5 less decos to add to storage. |

I only have 4 hours left but still need 2 more Gurl Scouts and to complete the 1st optional casino raid. Should I just forget about that and concentrate on Cleveland JR ?
Also anybody else completed all the items for Cleveland jr but still have tubas left ? Im on 1/20 and I have cleared many gurl scouts

Yeah, no way I'm gonna make it now. Can't get Peter, Quagmire or Joe to drop any of the 4 needed. Oh well.
If they'd left the challenge as first written "Take Down Fight Promoter Cleveland's Casino" meaning any of the first three stars, I'd have been done already. But I was still on my third run (not the extra), so no dice. Oh well... Fewer deco's to store!

Alright I finished the first challenge with 2hrs to spare, never would have happened if I had 1 more thing to do.
In I agree once you get 1 star it should automatically be checked off.
That last bonus round and challeng put me up to
# 1,412 rep 6,440 my highest so far.

Since the cash bags wouldn't drop, I wasn't able to complete the timed task. I even spent clams to buy the last 2 just to have a chance and still missed it. Not going to say I was ticked off or anything, but the F U message I sent support (on my ticket that has been open since the start of the Star Trek event because I can't close it and they won't) was epic even for me.
I've lost all motivation to play. The leader board is garbage and apparently we're only going to win the prize we're on at the end. I would have thought that we'd get everything for the level we're on and the ones below it, but I'm guessing they're going to save those for a mystery box. Now if there's going to be some sort of mystery box at the end; then, why grind away?
I'm the type of person that likes to provide constructive criticism rather than just saying "it sucks." Unfortunately, I'm out of things to be constructively critical about. There really is no fun left in this for me. As soon as my clams are gone, so am I. Honestly, if there were a way to gift them to my friends I'd do that and be done now.

I was supposed to take time off from the game but when I learned Cleveland Jr. is added this event, I decided to make the plunge. Got Fatfather a couple of days ago and should unlock Diabeto later today. Reading all these comments, it seems that Cleveland Jr. will take awhile to unlock. I'll "try" to take it easy, regardless. I don't care about the overall leaderboard prizes but the individual prizes-- especially the clam prizes-- are always welcome. I love The Godfather films and makes me wonder if Don Corleone-- whoever are lucky to get him in the end-- will be voiced. Still 3 weeks left in the event and based on past events, TinyCo have managed to please the players in the end after a love-hate relationship each event.  Hang in there neighbor! |

That sounds about right for the tuba drops. Before I had realized my math error, I had already started the weekly 24 hr challenge thinking I could do it and used 5 luchadors on an obstacle. So I decided to continue with the challenge and see where I ended up, figuring I would use luchadors for the obstacles since they would only net me 2-3 tubas otherwise and TinyCo would probably increase the tuba drops at some point like always. I ended up spending 32 clams to finish out the challenge because wth. I'm just using them up now anyways. And sure enough today I've had tubas drop with every gurl scout. Btw is your Mike Tyson voiced? Mine isn't and though they often release characters first and add sound bites later I've had him for almost a week and silence. It usually doesn't take this long. If it stays that way he'd be the first celebrity to not be voiced. A sign of things to come? |

Well it looks like I spoke too soon about the tubas drop rate increasing. I had 3 tubas drop in a row yesterday morning but since then pretty much nothing. I went ahead and bought Cleveland jr. for 150 clams. I'm thoroughly disgusted with this event. Never before have I been forced to spend clams on a free character to continue on time with an event. Every other one I've been able to earn. Never before have I been forced to spend clams to finish a challenge. I'll be glad when my clams run out. I'm feeling more and more like giving up. |
