If I go for the LOVE prize do I only need to click on the Happy Couples? Does clicking on the Angry Couples will lower the meter?

Exactly.. Say there's 10 couples, 5 will be happy and give love hearts, but the other 5 will be fighting and give broken hearts. If you just clear them all while they're still walking around (like I have done 3 times), then the meter stays in the middle.
