I recognized, that it costs less to finish Phineas instantly with the padlock icon than to buy the items. One steak is 40 clams and I need three steaks. But I can instant finish for 36 clams. If I didn't gave all Performance enhancers to Phineas, would Barnaby cost less?
P.S.: It seems that one have to double check. With Barnaby it's the other way around: I need 4 more PEs. One costs 20 clams but I should pay 100clams to finish Barnaby with the padlock sign.

Updated progress:
Phineas 60/60 weights, 10/10 steaks, 5/5 performance enhancers - UNLOCKED! Barnaby 32/80 weights, 9/10 eggs, 1/8 performance enhancers
Looks like Lois and Bonnie have their work cut out for them... I wish it wasn't Lois for performance enhancers... she needs to get me bottles!

It is a pain in the backside those weights... however, once i had enough, i chose to get rid of the bigger total (80), however, it's taking time to build them back up. Steaks are all complete, eggs are all complete, steroid needles are a pain, only have 1/8 at the moment. With those two being limited time, all my focus will be on unlocking them, as District 10 is not limited time

Same with those needles, figured to just remove him while I could and just concentrate on the other. The weights really aren't that bad, I'm already halfway to 80 and there's still 3 days to go. I'm most worried about those needles, as only characters can get them, and only like every 6 hours too. On the downside, Lois is not doing bottles, making 10 get a huge hit for progressing. Obviously the limited time stuff takes precedence, but it's annoying they couldn't have used like Chris or Joe for the needles, and leave Lois with the bottles (or just have picked Joe for the bottles-makes more sense too). I understand limited time and can only use like 10 basic characters, but district 10 stuff should be using a lot more characters of higher levels. To start district ten you have completed 1-9, so like Joe should be used over Lois as he came later.

In my opinion Carter, what TinyCo really need to start doing is using the premium characters for stuff, and have them either always drop, or at least a 70% drop rate. Some would say that this is unfair to freemium players who don't buy premium characters, but, while i agree, i feel that premium players are being let down buy this. Lets look at those premium characters (that i can remember...) * Gene Simmonds * Paul Stanley * John McClane * Brian Cranston * Nathon Fillion * Predator * Jason * Consuela * Buzz Killington * Jake Tucker and there maybe more... I know that the latter half of my list there have had tasks in the past, but for those who have bought them, might be pretty peeved that they do almost nothing. There are regular characters who do nothing, the most common no-tasker for items is Cleveland (although he has had some item earning tasks recently). Not just characters, but premium buildings as well, i know they have to push new buildings for each mini event/major event, but premium buildings need to do something. Just my thoughts there though

Not just characters, but premium buildings as well, i know they have to push new buildings for each mini event/major event, but premium buildings need to do something. Just my thoughts there though Which gives good reason not to buy premium buildings. I agree, and that is why I'm not buying the premium skins. Just something for the moment with no use later on... same as the characters. Premium items should give bonuses - I agree. What is the incentive to purchase them? Basically none. TSTO has premium earning 1.5 more than normal. Why don't FG do at least the money and xp this way? I definitely agree with the item drops. Premium buildings/decorations should offer a bonus % or something for owning it. Finally, they really shot themselves in the foot with the limited characters (Cleveland, celebs (non premium), AD, Halloween, Christmas) as the player had to be playing during that time to get them. So while they should be used for rewards, it's harder to justify because people start all the time, and events/content should be playable by all. Meaning main events only use districts 1-3 characters so everyone can play it. You don't see a lot of the later levels / prior event characters really having a role. TSTO has done this (always Lisa/Homer centric).

I fully understand why they would only use lower level characters for events to make the playing field level for the new players. I can also see not having characters that could only be obtained during an event be used for new districts or future events. As mentioned above it would be nice if they used more, if not all, of the characters that have been obtained in lower districts for the new district. They should also use the premium characters that were not event exclusive in addition to freemium characters since everyone has the opportunity to get them even if they choose not to for whatever reason. Oh and for crying out loud, I know Meg is..... well Meg, but give her a few tasks here and there. I have more characters that I put on 24 hour tasks because I know I probably won't need them than I do characters that actually do something.
As far as district 10 goes, it's on hold. I can't get the beer bottles I need to get past the pee machine. For the mini event, I got Phinneus last night and only need 6 steroids for Barnaby. Hopefully, I'll have him unlocked tomorrow.

I catched up with you guys. ^^ Phineas is free and I just need 4 more syringes for Barnaby. Got the eggs as quickly as the steaks. I've 2 days left and I'm confident that this is enough time. Apparently the system (still) works for TinyCo. I think they have "enough" (if that's possible) profit how they handle premium characters and buildings so they hold on their concept from the very first. In my opinion TinyCo has a totally different business conduct than EA and attract people in a different way to become premium. There's still enough that can be criticized, but I like TCo better than EA in so many ways. (Newest stroke of genius: EA raised their €-prizes (at least here in Germany) about ridiculous 10% at once.) I have all the "all time" premium characters and one building (rookie mistake) and have had some benefits so far. I agree it always could be more. I don't remember the horse to be useful ever. I think it's really hard to satisfy all players: On the one hand you have to honor those, who already spend money and on the other hand you still have to be attractive to those, who did not yet (but should become money givers). Maybe it seems "the most fairest" to TinyCo, that every player has the same benefit for being premium, so the limited times premium stuff does not help outside of the event. I barely have any premium stuff out of the events. Besides of Mystery Box stuff I only bought Bitch Brian (motivation: I like him) and Bruce Willis (motivation: Getting Jesus, which I failed to). Man, I hope anyone can understand what I try to say.

Man, I hope anyone can understand what I try to say. The horse helped out for like one of the early districts. That's it though. Consuela helped for the 4th of July I think, and Jake was a part of district 9 and Halloween. Buzz had a somewhat recent thing too. I sent them a message regarding this. Those that buy the premium characters should have additional assistance. For example there should be a premium for the district 10 - the horse would fit in well here. His 7 hour could be for bottles or the 3 hour could help with the flute or something. It can't be that hard to fit though. I'm not suggesting that every premium help with everything - but every item drop should have 1 premium character tied to it (IMO). It doesn't have to be "always" either, it can simply be a helper to get the item like normal characters. Maybe they can hide it if the player doesn't own the character? Anyways, I only need 4 performance enhancers and Barnaby is unlocked. Lois and Bonnie are still working hard (but last night I did the Lois/Peter task for Phineas though). I should be okay to finish, just always feel so anxious logging into the game seeing like a little over 2 days left on the timer.
