Hi,
I read the article about Jingle Joe's tasks on familyguytips as I found the link here in the guides.
But there's no task for Joe to fight the yeti. Does anyone know if he can or cannot do that?
The new challenge is easy to win. That's good, so I would like to focus on getting blue stockings for Jesus. If Jingle Joe doesn't help with the yeti, I may also finish Mrs Pewterschmidt first. I got almost everything out of the fancy gift box already. I could open the snowflake box as I have to do so anyway to get all the presents of the wishlist.

Got Jesus Saturday morning, have just finished the challenge for the top hat yeti and been rewarded with the Christmas quagmire house skin (which is glitches and makes your quagmire house reverse itself completely), I think I have nailed 61/100 shoppers so that task will be completed tomorrow in plenty of time, just need one of the newest stockings to unlock the final prize and get Barbra. I have sped up a few tasks with clams I will admit, but I don't mind doing that occasionally. Items for Joe are dropping slowly, trying not to spend clams on him though, don't need him just yet. All in all, lots going on keeping me busy. Trying to save clams now for the next update.

Will finish the challenge today hopefully, just depends when I can go on as I'm going to my aunts for an early Christmas. I'll have Barbara in a little bit, then I'll have to save to get Joe, and Puppy Brian. Doubt I'll get Jesus so I'm not going to try too much for him.

I just wasted three wrapping paper stockings on the fancy gift box. I thought that I wrapped all presents of the fancy gift box and was surprised that I seemingly didn't. So I wrapped one more and got 100 gingerbreadmen.
Apparently we can wrap the not-so-fancy box non stop to get 100 cookies.

Thanks for the warning, I just opened the last prize from the fancy box so now I know I'll have to be careful. I'm not giving up on getting Jesus, but I'm going to take a break and finish the snowflake boxes first. Might as well since the yeti is being a pain in my arse. Even with the building that drops the blue stockings, I was only up to 39 this morning. I had both Mort and Lois attacking the first yeti over night and it still took 2 tries for each to knock him out. I really figured I'd at least have one waiting after the second round, but no such luck. So now he'll reset about 4 pm my time, I'll have either Mort or Lois already in position to take him out and then I can set the two of them after him again. I'm hoping once I get Jingle Joe the yeti will be easier to defeat and then I can get Jesus. Barbara is just going to have to wait at the train station a bit. Until I finish collecting for Jingle Joe there's little chance that I'll accidentally start the timer for her. I should be in a good position to get her as the only requirement I have left is to get Death Row Caviar. |

I found a cool tip for battling the yeti. If he's at 2 HP, you can still send everybody to attack. If the character drops the yeti health to zero, leave the other characters on task. You can leave them there until cleared, which can be over 4 hours later. When the yeti regenerates in the new form, you can then clear those characters. The damage will be instantly applied to the new form. This can be 3-5 or 4-7(if you have joe) free damage on the latest form. Note those numbers include John, so subtract 2-3 from the totals above if you don't have him. Math assumed Lois/mort did the defeating blow.

In other news, finished the "challenge", unlocked my wife, emptied the latest box but only halfway on joe. Stinks Chris has all these quests when he's needed for items. Started the bank roll for puppy Brian, and fighting for Jesus now. Hopefully joe comes soon, as the top hat yeti will appear tomorrow...

I got Joe last night (no clams woohoo), so hopefully I can finally defeat the childish yeti. I ended up clearing the snowflake boxes and by the time I did it I had recovered the stockings I spent so I'm no further from Jesus than I was stocking wise. I'm hoping now that I have Joe, I'll be able to get Jesus on Christmas. I suppose that would be fitting. One thing I would really like is a choice of response when I open a Secret Santa gift. I appreciate getting the gifts from my friends, I really do. What I don't appreciate is constantly getting the red stockings. I don't want to click "awsome" all the time because at this point they're "MEH!" I know it will never happen, but I think we should have a choice to either be a gracious liar or an ungrateful brat and TinyCo and gauge how we really feel about mystery boxes. The same goes for opening the silver and gold mystery boxes. |
