Thoguht it might be a good idea to start a thread where everyone can posttheir own reviews and chat about each others opinions on this fantastic event that we have just been a part of

Firstly, let me start with an easy question...

"What i will miss once this event is over?"

Oh this one is easy to answer...

All the clams TinyCo have given out over the last 4 weeks, seriously, i've never seen so much premium currency given away in a game like this. It's one thing i will give TinyCo a massive amount of credit for that's for sure

OK, so the easy part is out of the way, now onto my own personal review

When this event first started i was all 'MEH!' because i felt like it was going to be a repeat of the Pyramid/King Butt event, which i hated because the figures just were unachievable for freemium players. And then i saw the content, yep, mainly premium stuff to help progress through the event much quicker. Didn't like that, made my feelings known about it to TinyCo and on another forum. Got a lot of flack, but felt that i was right, and to start off with, i was. So was a lot of other players due to the lack of characters who earned Blam. However, as i progressed this event took an amazing twist, the introduction of minion stewie was a start, suddenly my Blam total started to rise. So, i revised which prize i thought i'd get based on what i was collecting (my original target was Red Hot Lois). Giant Stewie came along and suddenly once again my Blam total started to go up, and up, and up, and also clams, lots of free clams. With the uncertaintly of how much Blam i'd collect, i used quite a few of those free clams to unlock the free characters, Ron Perlman was a nightmare (i think it was the old movies that just never dropped for me), however, clams were free, had no issue using them at all. Also used them to speed up some tasks. So, i now had all the free characters except for George Takei who was some considerable amount of Blam away yet. Keep on plugging away Dave, just do what you can. Suddenly, i found myself with Robuttasaurus, could it be possible? Can george Takei be won after all? Still unsure, i used some of the charts i'd seen for figures on how far ahead or behind i was with Blam. I was well ahead. And with Giant Stewie, Minion Stewie and Blam earned for completing tasks etc, here i was at 85K Blam and had the next prize. That was it, one weekend, just non stop playing of the game to work on Blam. Done it! I had George Takei in my game, roaming around my town. Happy as can be me. All i had to do was keep plugging away at each week's challenge to get the vehicles, that last one, myself and many other players were like WTF? Where has these figures come from? 25 minion stewies in three days when only one is appearing every 4hrs is just not working. Credit to TinyCo, throughout this whole event they listened, they made changes, they did everything they could to help players complete and enjoy the event. And from hating the event because i felt it was oging to be likle the last one, let me just say, i've loved this event in it's latter stages. So many free items and characters, great premium items (just two buildings and Bryan Cranston and Nathan Fillion i bought). It's been a big event, loads to do, forcing players to devise strategies to complete things, something which i hate doing, but really enjoyed adapting to doing.

All in all, if i was to give this event a rating out of 10, i'd probably say 9/10 - i knocked a point off for the excessive premium items in the event

It did provide a lot of cool new skins and characters. But otherwise the overall delivery left a really bad taste. I understand the need for premium content but they overloaded it and also made it their point to hike up the prizes a lot since the previous event. All the prizes went up and each of them have let payouts. The mystery boxes, and Blam currency buildings cost more yet yield the same or less as their predecessor. Most characters were useless throughout the majority of the event and so were the skins. Another flaw in all the premium buildings is there is nowhere to place them. Don't even get me started on decorations, which are all just in my inventory now for the most part. Their welding on Bryan Cranston's usability was also very insulting considering his price value. Ending the game with 400+ batteries also is very annoying since they made them so expensive at the beginning and excessively available later with no use

I had a lot fun time, during this event. I had to sacrifice some real life stuff to keep up with some things, like mainly sleep. I understand everything had to be expensive, because they had to pay the real celebrities for being in the game. So I give this event 8/10, because of robo brian and stewie mystery box costing too many clams to play and having issues with my facebook account and not getting Rollo Cop. But I will be glad when this event is finally over, no more minion stewies running all over town and I can finally put all my streets back in.

I forgot about the Robo-Brian and Robo Stewie boxes, they were proper overpriced, i know thye had some cool prizes, but considering what else was put in there it just wasn't worth the risking of so many clams for crap. I hope TinyCo learn from this and realise that putting pointless prizes in a premium box that is rather expensive doesn't work for many players who enjoy the game. Fill it with good prizes, once all the prizes have been won, the box disappears, simple as that. You've won all the prizes and that's that. It's simple. They would still make money from it, it's just better if it was just good prizes (no Blam related items or bombs/batteries etc) then the box is gone afterwards.

I said in a different thread that it was better than the Full Moon event - which it is.

I'm still getting used to this update several times throughout the event process. I'll say it before and say again - I think all premiums should be available day 1 - so users can plan their purchases ahead of time. At least the buildings/decorations portion. Still not a fan of the slow trickle of new stuff throughout the event. I understand it is to slow down the event so it can't be completed quickly - but would rather have the stuff out of the way.

While I liked that celebs were added to the game - I felt the progression could have been a little better. I think instead of weekly updates, the next celeb could have been triggered after the previous one is unlocked. That or Friday whichever happens first.

I also keep pointing out that there are way too many buildings and and decorations - and has Laz put it.. nowhere to place it. A lot of stuff I bought is in storage since there's nothing tied to it after it's use. An idea to expand on my multi-purpose building proposal - how about the price of the building is X (let's say 100) clams. To generate item A-additional 20 clams. Need item B- can update the drop to item B for an additional 20 clams. Both items A & B would be "always" as well, and only drops 1 item - so when you upgrade to item B, it wouldn't drop item A. Don't want it to drop item B, then can upgrade to item C for 20 clams. This would provide they are still getting clams for the variously weekly changes, and would completely free up lots of space from the dozens of item generating buildings - that also never have tasks with them.

The event was fun, I liked the mini games - just wish the batteries had additional uses or converted - as no matter what mystery box you used, you got more than you could ever spend. The bombs while more usable - still could have been convertable too. I hope that the celebs will have options to help generate future items, but that's probably too much to ask for.

Great event overall, but I'm knocking a point off my original score for it... Its now 8/10

I really wanted the convention centre to stay in my town like the did with the pyramid... i really liked the convention centre, much more useful than a stupid pyramid that looks out of place and is stuck in my inventory permanently

Overall, I liked it much better than the Full Moon event. I like that they are always changing things around and marching out new content week-by-week to keep things interesting. With TSTO, it is pretty easy to get sick of an event after it becomes the same-ol, same-ol. Here, they kept me coming back and looking forward to each new chapter as the weekend would approach.

The biggest negative is their incredible, unprecedented greed with the pricing and volume of premium content. They also continue to be unbelievably calculating and manipulative with how they march out premium stuff, little-by-little, in order to induce maximum spending, one microtransaction at a time. Even something simple like the blam trucks at the beginning -- I knew I wanted to buy them immediately since I didn't want the event to be a grind and they ended up being pretty much mandatory during the Full Moon event. So, I went ahead and bought two Blam Super trucks at a whopping 400 clams each ($20) on day one, thinking that I should be good for the event. Turns out it was simply a ruse to get players like me to bite on something we might not buy if all of the cards were on the table. Just 2-3 days later, they marched out the Sommelier station in the build menu and event center.

Conniving bastards. They knew damn well the players who'd spring on day one for the trucks would be left with an uncomfortable choice. I'll just say that I made a conscious decision that instant to stop spending money on the game, and thus far, I've stuck to it. I'm not sure if they understand how badly their relentless shenanigans are alienating premium players.

The other negative of the event, of course, is that it's totally single player. TSTO events obviously put a lot more emphasis on neighbor interaction, even if the interaction is a bit superficial. That said, for now, I think FG should continue to stick with single player events until they can build a neighbor system that doesn't require Facebook.

Overall, the event was pretty good, but given my negative feelings toward TinyCo and their unending quest to pick our pockets, I can't score it higher than a 5/10.

i too give it an 8/10. really liked the mini game of bombing the minion stewies...felt console-gamer-like almost. the free clams that were given out were also great in my mind. i kinda wish i would have been more patient with the bombs though. bought the bomb stand and i regret that purchase to this day. i knew from the Full Moon Event that they would have a multiplier streak meter to gain more Blam! but i wish i would have been more patient and waited for a couple more days to see what new additions they would add. those Blam! Mystery Boxes were fun, but i ended up with over 300 Bombs and close to 150 Batteries. they really should have either added more decorations or increased the spawn rate of minions and latchers.

overall it was fun, but i'm glad it's over

the superheroes, celebrities and costumes were fun to unlock but i'm hoping that they will add-on to the celebs as time progresses and i'm hoping that the celebs have more to do instead of being like Jake Tucker and King Butt and just walking around our Quahogs with no purpose any more :/
