I love the idea that I can have my emails, texts or contact info beamed straight to my eyes, when I need it. I can understand the the concerns about privacy, but just think how much easier life would be if you could tell who your next appointment was with without the uncertainty. Google glass has a long way to go before it goes mainstream, but I don't think this type of tech is going to go away. I would so get these maybe they'll make them prescription for glasses wearers

Google glass looks crazy! It'll cost a lot though, do they have a release date yet?

Um how to make it user friendly for short/longsightedness, that just adds more complexity.

This right here... I'm shocked, this is some serious tech, that could revolutionise the way we work and play . What's the main reason behind you not wanting to wear this stuff? Now don't get me wrong, I love my gadgets and can see the benefit's of GG for some but I cant ever see me wearing a pair as I don't feel the need to be constantly connected to my devices or have a news feeds shot directly to my brain. I think it's going on sale for one day in the US April 15 and will cost $1,500 (£894)..pretty steep eh? I got offered the Sony smart watch when I first got my Z1 so I had a little play with it but was certainly not impressed with buggy software and other cosmetic issues. Maybe one day my opinion will change

But I see your point about buggy software

I get into trouble from the wife if I use the phrase outside the house, but frankly if you're gonna get upset then don't earwig others conversations. I never did subscribe to the PC ethos anyway

For me they just don't offer anything useful at all. I know when I get a text message (or email etc) because my phone goes bing. Most of the time its rubbish I dont want or need to know, so the second or so saved isnt really a priority. I could see that directions via a GG hud could be useful, but you aint going to be able to wear them while driving, where a hud on the windscreen would be a much better option (and wont give you a headache either) and its just not worth looking like a dick to avoid looking down at your phone while walking along the street. But when I'm wheeling about town I can't always stop and check to see if the text is important or not. Yes they'll call and I can pick it up via my headset. But I seem to remember the same being said about Bluetooth headsets. I think the DVLA have already advised Police UK they wouldn't be happy with people driving with Google Glasses on, and rightly so. IMHO a windscreen wide HUD would be best for driving anyway.

My rule is if you email or text me I treat it as unimportant. If you want me quick then ring me. If you dont have my number then I dont really care how important you think it is
