I bought the $4.99 clam deal. Ended up only getting 130 clams. I thought it was 2x 130. Did I get screwed or am I just stupid for not paying super close?

You unfortunately misread. The deal is: "Buy a Box of Coins and get $4.99 of Clams for free!" I think you are one of many people because the game mentions it under Help & Support > Troubleshooting > I bought coins for a goal and did not receive my free clams.

I didn't realize the offer was buy cash, get clams until I read a synopsis on a fan site. Of course, I later ended up caving and went for the offer anyway. |

Don't feel bad, I misread it as well. I think it was a little tricky on their part, making the clams the same color as the coins. I kept staring at the screen thinking, what happened to the rest of my clams. But I realized later I read it wrong. I was a little p'd because I had plans for what I was going to buy with them. lesson learned!!!

I too fell victim to the misunderstanding. When it first popped up, I thought I saw buy one clam set for $4.99 get a second free. I almost bought it, but didn't see anything on the clam screen. So I clicked on the task and it brought me to the coin screen. So I was a little mad about it, but I went through with it figuring the money would help (seemed to keep me on track so far) and the clams I was able to get Jake and a builder.
I was like woah, I can get the horse, Jake, the builder. But those dreams were squished when I clicked on the deal.
