I have no idea how or why this happened but it happened. After performing this glitch a few times before going out, I had 11k in idols and decided to buy a monkey to round out The Event and so I placed it and it went down but my idol count did not change. I proceeded to place 4 more before the game caught on and took the 10k idols from my total. I exited and reloaded to check and Yep! 5 monkeys for 10k!  |

OMFG >.< Was doin the glitch on the 20 clam sarcophagus during lunch hour, got up to 133 clams, decided to try the big'n just for fun... First thing that I get is the dj! had to ditch it though... Didn't want to lose all clams on that... Gonna clam it up for the last bit  and FTR: Best $1.99 USD spent on this game yet... ^_^ |

The game tries to sync your prize the moment you attempt to leave the screen, e.g., by pulling up your device menu. If you can't get it to work on your device, you can still do it if you disable your internet through other means, e.g., by disabling wireless through your router or unplugging your cable modem.
Personally, I'm just doing it to get some white flowers for decorating purposes, as they are not available in the build menu. I feel that $2000 each is extremely expensive as it is -- no sense in having to buy another 9 fireworks, which can't be sold and are useless for decorating, to drive the price to $20000 per flower.
I wouldn't do it for clams and didn't even attempt it with the premium sarcophagi. If the game does, in fact, phone home each time you open a box, you are asking for trouble if you are exploiting it for premium currency. There are easier ways to cheat.

But if the game can't connect home then it's like dialing a number and not pressing call. It's too bad I can't get clams the same way I get donuts.. Mostly because FG connects to it's server faster.. Although sometimes it seems that (and maybe it's more just iOS) when you press buy, it confirms and saves even before you see what was in the box. |

And if you're really lucky you will hit that 1% a couple times during those 100 spins! And it seems that simply turning off the WiFi for a chance at those clams is far less painless than when you had to fully shut your device off when exploiting a certain Golden Fatty. I wonder though, if back in the day when Fat Goldie Blob worked if the simple airplane mode and full close would have worked.. Probably not because it synced on start-up.. |
