The world needs 'The Quagmire Show' "Because Quagmire's the hero a spin-off deserves, but not the one it needs right now" He has a show already though lol Although I think this one is the best one

Hi y'all! Just thought I'd sign up; been snooping around here and @ FamilyGuyTips anonymously for a month or so, so it's about time! I'm a 24 year old guy from Amsterdam, and my life consists firstly of working outside in Nature (driving / walking around forests to make sure the ecologies are well kept and such, sometimes taking down dead trees etc.) and secondly of working inside on Science Fiction Novels. My current level in The Quest For Stuff is 25, and I'm collecting stuff for Anime Peter so I can unlock Tricia. As you may have noticed my favourite Seth Mcfarlane character is Roger from American Dad! A close second is/are Stewie and Brian. See you around the forums! Bonjour, mes amie! It was awesome of you to take the time to sign up and take part here. as you can already tell, it's very chill ... P.S, it sounds like you have an amazing job. Have you had to "fell" any large trees before? Yes I actually, really fell trees from time to time I'm going to get a certificate for the chainsaw anywhere this or next year, I already know all there is to know about that machine - had to take it apart and put it back together hundreds of times, and while working with it sometimes crazy dangerous things happend like the chain not stopping to whirr or almost dropping a tree on my foot. This crazy 64 year old guy smoking cigars all day and who is married to a 34 year old Russian girl taught me how to use it in a couple of months time. Had a hella lot of fun with this man last summer and winter. In two weeks I will be going East, close to Germany's border to work at a World War 2 camp where they held jews for transport to larger, killing-camps. Also Anne Frank went through there. I will probably have to take down a tree or two. It's very nice work, I've been there before. a family of farmers will give lodging in the next village over and they will cook for me and my colleagues after our work, and provide lunches for during. We stay there for 3 nights. After the summer I'm going back to school in a different city, closer to nature (Amsterdam is more concrete jungle), where I will start becoming a Landscape Architect.

Ok, as if I wasn't jealous of your line of work before..now I'm even more so. So you had a master of the craft work side by side with you to teach you what he knows? There isn't any other way!!... One to embody the knowledge, the other to crave it...seriously, one of the coolest jobs I've ever heard of...getting paid to play outside ...(using the word "play" is not to discredit the ammount of hard work that is required)

But playing with a purpose currently I'm working with a different master of the craft, one more of theory instead of practice, now I'm learning all about ecological balances and stuff

Is it true that as you remove, you are also adding. In other words, while you're taking out and removing foliage do you have to or are you required to plant new trees? (except private landscape work for obvious reasons). I'm sorta thinking that it's an Ontario thing, and not necessarily that of the globe. Example. The city I live in, is known as "The Forrest City", everyone within the municipalities of London, Ont is required BY LAW to have no less than 1 tree per property. (Some business excluded). So if a whole slew of trees are felled, then whatever was removed, HAS TO be replanted. Not necessarily on the exact site, but within a certain kilometer range.

No that is not the case over here. But I like the sound of that principle. Canada is beautiful though, and compared to your trees most trees here are little kids. Would like to go there someday, and a dozen other places. I hope to be able to for school or work in the following years.
