How did you unlock her timer? Still waiting to be prompted to get her. You have to complete My Funny Valentine part 10 which requires Glenda Vajmire to shoo away perfume ladies. Once you finish, Cheryl Tiegs' quest line will pop. The perfume ladies seem to be the main source of items drops for Cheryl. Thank you. I'm still only on part 8. |

Up to 12/15 fans, 6/10 middle thing, and 4/6 70s swimsuits. Only 19 hours in. Seems likely to get within 28 hours as well.

She's unlocked! I think I did it with about exactly 24 hours in. That was really easy. Really I think Jerome generated like 4-6 of the fans (with the building another 2-3), Lois generated maybe 1 or 2 of the middle item (Seamus only had 1 chance on the task, but it was cleared before he finished), and Chris/Bonnie actually pulled most of their weight giving me about 3-4 of the swimsuit.
Lois is on her 10 hour task which could have started yesterday - but figured to go for the limited time character. So I think this part is mostly done now.

FYI (if you didn't notice) the PDA red heart couple with the red hearts flowing around thier heads now has dark pants and a dark shirt. Makes it a lot easier than looking for swirling hearts.

FYI (if you didn't notice) the PDA red heart couple with the red hearts flowing around thier heads now has dark pants and a dark shirt. Makes it a lot easier than looking for swirling hearts. Love that change. I suggested it day 1, since I thought it as stupid to wait for them to do the action. another FYI/PSA: Cupids bench comes at part 6, and you need the statue (love prize 5), to get him. He's got a 5 day timer. His other requirements are 1000 currency, Peter 12 hour task and quagmire 12 hour task. ---------- i hope that the insane asylum doesn't go to the mystery box as I already have it. Pulled it out of the inventory and it's been earning valentines. Got a good chunk of the prizes, missing the movie theater, Brian statue and the hot tub. UPDATE: found if you own it prior it WON'T be added to the mystery box. Thankfully I don't have to worry about having 2. |

In terms of progress, just need like 11 hearts for the statue, then the fun climb to hot Meg. I've won the prizes and free clams from the coffee shop, but still have 2 prizes and clams to get from the theater. Looks like Benedict will be my first missing character. No idea who he is, and would rather have someone from the show instead, so saving my precious 360 clams for something better.
UPDATE: Got the statue! The journey begins for Hot Meg. Should only need 3k in Valentine's cards now (1k for Cupid, 2k for the last two prizes-hot tub and Voodoo shop). Decided to cash out my valentine's to get the cinema and statue in case that insane asylum building was added to the box.

Love the changes TinyCo did-- the different colored couples to distinguish "love" and "hate"-- I can put the roads back in my town as I hate not having them; the other prizes in the mystery boxes is a plus to allow us to get them as well. I just need less than 120 "love" to unlock Hot Meg. Can't wait to unlock her as it's been tedious playing this update and the Tapped Out one. Hope we'll get a break before another event in FG.

Hey Carter thanks for the information about the asylum. I will have trouble to get hot Meg and will try to get her for HV in Rupert's Box. Even better that the asylum won't be in it. So there will be two things and Hot Meg. 3k HV (worst case) is easier to get than 350 hearts. At least for me.
Still don't have the statue.

to make phase 3 to start you have to finish the main questchain My Funny Valentine. It has 13 parts. Maybe that's why?

Phoebe, you have to complete part 13 of My Funny Valentine. Then once part 3 starts, you'll get the box. I'm getting concerned that I won't get enough handmade cards to get all the box prizes. I really only want to get the voodoo shop after I get Hot Meg and maybe the hot tub, but I know I'll get the box of blow up dolls and archery set before I get those. I hate to spend clams on the cards, but I really would like to get those prizes. What to do? What to do? I did get Benedict Cumberbatch. I only know him as Khan in the last Star Trek movie. At least I think it was the last one, it was the last one I've seen in any case. Well, that and that dreadful August Osage County movie. That was a waste of 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back.

I thought it might have been. I've not been able to go on much during the event as I've had no internet at home, so had to use my data when I can. I'm on part 12 at the moment. I just want to get cupid in time, doubt I'll get hot Meg, as I need to wait to get the cupid statue, and still saving for that. I'll try get a few of the prizes out of the box, when I get to that.

I unlocked the Cupid, finished repairing it, and one of the prerequisites is to get the Cupid statue from the love/hate tasks, which is one of the loves. Well I chose the hate on that one for the insane asylum because it seemed much cooler than some stupid statue. But now you have to have it to unlock Cupid.

How am I supposed to go back and get it? You can't.

Looking like tomorrow possibly or maybe early Wednesday. Seems doable now. I've been repeatedly sending Carter (myself!) and my wife to the coffee shop for 7 hearts. Carter earns minor valentine's and she earns zero so seemed like the best pay out. For the theater, just trying some combos, but seems like Bitch Stewie/Brian make another combo as neither earn valentines. Cupid is unlocked and going through his quests. So the event is nearly done! |
