If you messaged them in game, the reply will come in game.  Sometimes I got a message telling me they answered, other times I've had to check the help screen.  I think this is doable, I just have to remember to clear some trick or treaters and save a smoke bomb or two for when they spawn.

Yes that too, but Francis doesn't unlock anything. That's a 50 clam prize box.

So, I finally broke down and deleted all of my roads. I must say, this is a whole lot easier now.

9 was my highest, then clicked on something and the game crashed

so it didn't count

since then 8 has been the most

My highest has been 8. I'm not too bothered as I don't want to get rid of majority of my roads.

Yeah, I think I picked it up from some users on a FB group back when we were bombing minion stewies. Turns out it works for trick or treaters, too.

Wow! Your maze looks great and yield 15 trick-or treaters consistently! I also eliminated my roads except for a strip but didn't put a maze because I don't want to mess up my town making room for it. So far, I've gotten 14 as my highest though. I try not to log in the game for a couple of hours and hit the road with a stink bomb just as the trick or treaters spawn.

I managed to get 15 once I deleted all my roads except a small patch. Now my only problem is that everyone is crowded on the road so it's hard to see them spawn until they start spreading out.

Got 15.. Deleting roads wasn't originally for this, but to make space for all this crap. This town has no sense to it..

After I wrote this. I removed all but a section of road and immediately got 15. Pic coming soon.
