just letting you know Mopurglar, i am using your idea...however, i put my own twist to it. if you do mind, i'll change it, but i wanted to let you know that your screenshots inspired me. it actually creates a bunch of space in my otherwise cluttered town, so thanks for the idea. and i'm not one to bite people's styles, i just really liked your Office design.

Thanks guys! I don't have OCD anymore, but I like to keep everything organize and with so many new buildings. It almost driving me crazy to redo my whole city again. but I will wait till this event is over. For this game, I feel like we can't procrastinate with re-designing things, or everything turns into a junkyard in a hurry. In the five days since I made this panorama, I've already had to put a few more blocks of buildings in storage to accommodate new stuff. I kinda like it -- it trains me to store anything that doesn't look good or is non-essential. I no longer mind having half of my stuff in storage. I might suggest putting some buildings in storage and trying to design things while the event is still going on. Makes it more enjoyable, IMO. just letting you know Mopurglar, i am using your idea...however, i put my own twist to it. if you do mind, i'll change it, but i wanted to let you know that your screenshots inspired me. it actually creates a bunch of space in my otherwise cluttered town, so thanks for the idea. and i'm not one to bite people's styles, i just really liked your Office design. -MK No worries. I like a lot of the buildings, and ones I consider putting in storage seem to have a good task assigned to it. It's like the ones that look neat have no tasks, but the ones that I don't care for have a task(s) at them.

I have a few buildings and decorations in my inventory, it mainly some duplicate buildings to help farm. But ever since this event has introduce tons of new buildings, I had to eliminate most of roads to place them and plus keep an eye on my characters and nerds.

Fortunately, unlike TSTO, most of the buildings in this game are non-essential and at least won't cost you characters when you store them. Also, because the premium decorations don't come with multipliers, it is much easier to just throw them in your inventory and forget about them. Lately, I've gotten most of my space back by storing 90% of my Egyptian stuff and 90% of my doo-dads (event prizes and premium decorations). Also have been reducing the farm some and stored some non-essential land-hogs (furniture store, preschool, baseball field, Stars & Skates, Barrington hotel, random comic con stuff, e.g., hoverboard park, food truck, S&M&More which is misaligned -- in addition to things like I've had in storage for awhile, e.g, wheelchair skate park and anal point). I've lost only a few tasks that I wasn't using anyway -- I don't mind it.

Things had turned into a mess, so I ended up doing a lot of re-designing this weekend. Here is the latest panorama: Panorama - full size image linkAny feedback is welcome and appreciated. Thanks in advance! Highlights for me are the downtown area, the shops, and Asian Town. Needs work / about to get stored: Mess of Halloween buildings on the right, prison.

Hi Mopurglar, I like your town a lot and would like to copy some of your ideas. I couldn't find a start to redecorate my Quahog. I just stuff but there's no space anymore. The (dump) golden turd or most of the halloween mystery box prices never found it's way out of my inventory. My favorite is Buzz's home with the ponds and the stable (never knew how to integrate the stable into my town) and how you figured your beach with the high-rises. Or Vinny's home got nice too. You have a lot of good looking buildings I don't even remember, although I play this game since it's release. For example, I like the house with the waterfall in front of the prescool. I'm really so cheap on clams, but they're so rare. Sort of an extra rare item.

Agreed! My town's been in limbo forever. I'm so puzzled at what buildings I want and which ones I need. I like to have the majority of task buildings available, then the ones I think look nice - but then there's no room for the new stuff. So it's been a thorn in my side to figure out the best way to organize it.

As much as i love constant content for the game, i think TinyCo need to just step back for a month with mini quests, and release more land first, it's the most needed thing in the game. I know District 10 is on the way but that will be a square, filled with stuff that comes with District 10, so really, it's not going to be any help to us in the long run. Mopurglar, i love your town there, how you have been able to closely manage the land like that is amazing

Thanks guys! I think the Tetris analogy is spot on. With TSTO, the challenge in designing things is getting the small details to look visually attractive -- things like trees, bushes, shrubs, fences, parking spots. With this game, the decorating part is pretty basic and mostly an afterthought. The hard part is trying to shoehorn as many buildings as possible into your town without making it look horrible. I literally spent 90% of my re-design time this weekend plugging / moving things around and counting squares to make it work. Seriously, it was like doing a puzzle. And you won't believe how many farmable buildings are hiding in there. And Juli - feel free to borrow anything you'd like! Look forward to seeing what you come up with. The waterfall building, btw, was a premium building from the full moon event.

Thank you Mopurglar. I already copied some spots ...first of all the beach, so I gained a little more space in the back at the woods; have had my high-rises and offices at the beach before too. I'll post my town as soon as I get rid of my compulsive hoarding-corner at the woods. It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier to decorate Springfield than Quahog. I can hardly remeber what I meant, when I said I need more space in Springfield.
