Oh ok as long as it's not just me. Congrats on the outfit. I had a late start cuz I put Chris on a 24 hr task a couple hours before the event started. Just my luck. And I'm not spending clams on decorations I don't really want just to get another outfit for peter. I already have too many the way it is.

Its certainly not just you, I put Chris on his Eat Sugar task just an hour or so before it started and am pretty sure my clowns arent spawning correctly (only 2 again this morning). I am 5 and 2 short at the moment (and it took me all day yesterday to collect about that many with the slow spawning). Not really bothered that I wont make it and get the outfit. What does bother me a bit though is, if future events follow a similar pattern (short and sharp) that its going to get pretty old pretty quick. If you were unlucky with Chris' tasks this time there just wasnt time to catch up without spending clams. I guess the next event lays a pattern down as to if its even worth bothering to try.


Edit: OK, now 2 and 1. So expect the event to finish in the next hour or so

Okay,I've been having the same problem and just thought tinyco was forcing the clam purchase out of the gate.I won't end up with the outfit this time around,but with so many people having issues maybe they'll extend the event a couple of days to even it out,which may be why there was a placeholder date as late as the 10th-just crossing my fingers a little.

\o/ Made it. Logged in and my final clown was there waiting. So splashed out on the 1 clam it took to finish Chris' 1hr task just to be on the safe side! Bit odd though, because I didnt think I was quite due the clown...

Looks like im going to miss out on this outfit, I tried to do it with out buying items for it and Im short 13 Pie's.

Pretty bad that you had to go and buy items to even stand a chance of getting the outfit.

Waiting to collect them didn't work for me. I even put Chris on a task over night on Saturday night with no luck. Yet, I somehow managed to get all the pieces needed to make the costume late last night.  I sent a message to Tiny Co anyway, just to let them know that a.) there was someone else with the glitch since a good marketing person knows 1 person complaining equals 100s of people complaining and b.) hoping that they throw me a bone for the inconvenience (ok clams will do).

I made it by the skin of my teeth. Got my last pie last night, and was dealing with the 1 of each clown over the weekend. I logged in just now and saw 2 red ones... so it appears they finally fixed that bug.

I also see that this morning that the clowns are supposed to give cash - yet I am not receiving any.

Exact same happened to me, and went through half a day of none spawning. Had to stay awake most of the wknd and thankfully managed to get him last night... Awoke this morning, lo and behold, I had 5 clowns in my town for the 1st time.... Beggars belief!!

I kinda noticed that events start and end at 3pm eastern time..if that the case and you have been squashing clowns you can probably just buy the pee pants costume for under 50 clams if it plans on ending today

I actually left Chris taskless yesterday.  I didn't want to miss a clown.  I had the 4 hour one set as a reminder on my phone.  I got the last pie at 10pm last night.  I was lucky Chris wasn't prompted for any tasks for the storyline, else I would have skipped them if longer than an hour.

It really was disappointing to wake up to see just 2 clowns every day.  I was thinking about getting some circus stuff, but with it ending in less than 2 hours (from the time of this post), definitely don't have enough time to buy some clams and get those items.  Seeing the one screen was having me consider the tent, ferris wheel and 1 other thing, it would total like 400 clams.  I simply don't have that at the moment, so I won't be getting it now.

But I guess it's a reminder to get those fences at least.

Be careful if storing them in yr inventory, I have lost over 2000 coins worth over the weekend, unless its now been fixed. I know tiny are aware of it because I reported it to them on Friday but they haven't got back to me since

Thanks, I just dumped them out for now, will be moving them around more when I get some more land.  I know my circus area will look pretty lame, but I was upset to see how many things were clams, and how hard it was to get the outfit.

I know, me too... On the bright side, it could be worse, it could be made by EA and a lot of main characters being overpriced lol
