Did you not see the program on telly that showed you how they make their profits?
They're worse robbers than the big places like Tesco, Sainsburys etc. Cons

Aye you don't get much for a quid these days. This thread has got my wife and I talking about old sweets we used to love as kids. Mines were (the real) Chelsea whoppers, not these new fangled whoppers they are trying to fob the whippersnapper's off with nowadays. The wife loved golden cups lol she's showing her age now. Lol I bought some Rainbow drops yesterday......they don't taste how I remember them lol . I bet it's down to our crappy government taking out the artificial stuff! Lol

The coin reminds me of the old thrupenny bit. Now that's an old coin. I don't reckon you guys up North of me will be using anything but the pound after 2016, even if it is the same way that the Fiji or wherever uses the Dollar. Personally I think we'd be daft to break the union up after 300 odd years, but then as I live south of the border I'm disenfranchised, a least I'll be able to apply for proper passport if you do vote to succeed.

I know this wont relate to some people but for all you UK people it will lol Now this may be old news but i only heard today that they are bringing out a new £1 coin, below is a picture, it has 12 sides. Not sure if i like it as it kinda looks like a 50p coin apart from the gold bit lol Just saw this post, have to admit, it's certainly different, however, i can understand their reasoning for making such a drastic change Neo - the £1 coin has been copied so much that it's really hard to define a fake from the real thing, costing the UK millions in lost revenue from sales. when these fake coins are eventually traced and taken out of commision, unfortunately newer more detailed ones seem to appear. This is why the Royal Mint decided to make this change, to create a coin that cannot be copied. Will be interesting to see if they are correct.

Quite similar to the 1euro coin. Its like a smaller 2pound coin with the colour patterns reversed. I like the edging, nice touch. Much more technical coin. I'm Irish though, so will only see the coin on trips I imagine, heh.
